Iowa PGA Programs

PGA Jr. League is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Like many other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends.

In 2022 we will be celebrating our 41st Annual Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy is traditionally a 5-day, 4-night premier golf camp scheduled to be held TBA at Pheasant Ridge GC and the University of Northern Iowa. John Bermel, Head PGA Professional at Pheasant Ridge GC and Head Coach of the Men and Women’s golf teams at UNI. The Iowa PGA Junior Golf Academy also utilizes the men and women PGA Professionals of the Iowa Section as instructors for the students. Drive, Chip and Putt is the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15.

Participants who advance through Local, Sub-Regional and Regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.
