FOR A NOT-ON-THE-HIGH-STREET SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EXPAND YOUR RETAIL HORIZONS WITH A VISIT TO ONE OF THESE INDEPENDENT MARKETS.

Little Birds

Little Birds Market This market pops up each month in one of Glasgow’s oldest bar/restaurants, Sloans, and is a crafter’s delight. The organisers are very particular about the quality of the merchandise on sale and always keen to introduce new names to the mix of jewellery, ceramics and vintage stalls. The next market takes places on Sunday 11 September. Sloans, 108 Argyle St, G2 8BG.

Urban Market The Urban Market at the uber cool Drygate offers quirky but quality merchandise and should you need to lubricate more than simply your purse strings, the market takes place in a brewery. It takes place on the first Sunday of the month with new themed market days launching on 18 September every third Sunday. Drygate, 85 Drygate, G4 0UT.
