POOL LabShow offers up designs not found in your (former) favorite boutique. And while we’re on the subject of shopping for cool stuff in the Gables: in case you missed it, POOL LabShow, a multi-brand concept store showcasing a selection of innovative European designer brands and contemporary fashion labels, needs to be on your radar. The store, which caters to women who are all about individual style, was inspired by co-founder and creative director Beatriz Carrillo, a Spain native who made it her mission to bring up-and-coming design talents from Europe when she relocated to Miami from Madrid and couldn’t find pieces here from her favorite designers—smaller, less-established labels. POOL LabShow carries more than 20 of those brands, such as Ailanto, Alvarno, Angel Schlesser, Ball Pagès, Cortana, Majestic, Giada Forte, Jorge Vázquez, Juan

finishes, velvety French Art Deco furniture and dark wood floors. “I want our customers to feel inspired when they walk into the store,” explains Degreas.“We made this space so that people can experience and feel connected to the lifestyle that this brand represents.” Degreas, who has four stores in Brazil and opened a smaller boutique in South Miami in 2016, chose The Shops at Merrick Park because of the beautiful location and the crosssection of international shoppers that the center draws. “I picked the Village of Merrick Park because it feels like a meeting place where people of all different nationalities unite,” she says. “You see people of Hispanic backgrounds, Italian backgrounds, French backgrounds, and more, coming together to live in this gorgeous neighborhood. It was the perfect next step for our brand to have a home here as well.” The new Adriana Degreas boutique is located at 342 San Lorenzo Avenue, first floor, Coral Gables.
