helsea Taylor Hussey of Mooreville, Miss., and Jon Paul Barber of Nettleton, Miss., were united in marriage on Nov. 29, 2014, in a ceremony at Auburn Baptist Church in Mooreville. The Rev. Mike Brazeal and the Rev. Jimmy Henry performed the ceremony. Musicians Billie McFerrin and Teresa Easley provided music, and Brandon and Kristy Hardin sang solos and duets. The bride is the daughter of Stan and Peggy Hussey of Mooreville. She is the granddaughter of Willie and Burma Schumpert and Jimmy and Kathleen Hussey. The groom is the son of Mike and Sheila Barber of Nettleton. He is the grandson of James Matthews Sr. and the late Brenda Matthews and Nell Barber and the late Charles Barber. Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line chapel-train dress designed and handmade in Europe with a sweetheart neckline. The gown featured five separate layers adorned with crystal appliqués and beading. Her veil was a one-tier cathedral veil with lace appliquéd edging also made in Europe. She wore her mother’s pearl earrings and a diamond and pearl necklace given to her by her parents. She carried a bouquet of fallcolored roses and calla lilies with a napkin from her parents’ wedding reception tucked inside. The bridesmaids were Lea Anna Hussey, Karley Hall, Laura Enlow, Charlie McGaugh, Mandi Barber, Allie Matthews and Erin Matthews. Honorary bridesmaids were Morgan McGaugh, Haley Forsythe, Hannah Forsythe, Jamie Wagner and Kimmy Nicholson. The flower girl was Della Rae Hussey, and an announcement of the bride was carried by Jada

Alexis Graham. Guests were registered by Tanner Bevill. Groomsmen were Mike Barber, Matthew Barber, Michael Burt, Will Hawkins, Josh Kyle, James Matthews Jr. and Chip Hussey. Ushers were Mark Enlow, Andy Johns, Jacob Matthews and Jacob Burt. The ring bearer was Corbin Bowles, and Elijah Len Graham assisted with carrying the announcement of the bride.
A reception followed at The Antler in Tupelo, Miss., with a buffet prepared by Special Occasions by Sandra and music by The Gents. After a honeymoon in Steamboat Springs, Colo., the couple resides in the Richmond community. The bride is an associate with Health Management Services and pursuing a master’s degree, and the groom farms with his father and brother on Barber Farms.
