If you love to experience the outdoors, Pinnacle Mountain State Park, just west of the city, has several walking paths and biking trails crossing through its 2,000-plus acres. Pinnacle Mountain itself rises more than 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River valley, and the view from the summit is breathtaking. While some trails are quite strenuous, others are fine for all ages, and some are wheelchair compatible. Check with park associates before you set out.

WILLIAM J. CLINTON PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY AND MUSEUM
This national archive is a behemoth in terms of both physical size and the historical value of the documents and items housed there. Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, the multimedia museum has something for anyone interested in a closer look at the executive branch of our government, or in the ways that history, pop culture and politics intersect. The permanent collection includes documents and footage from historically significant occurrences, such as the signing of NAFTA, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Chemical Weapons Convention and Clinton’s impeachment proceedings. Recent temporary exhibits have ranged from one titled “Spies, Traitors and Saboteurs” to others focused on The Beatles, Nelson Mandela, fashion and animals in the White House.
