athryn Bratton Stigler and Robert Blake Horton were united in marriage at seven o’clock in the evening Aug. 11, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Senatobia, Miss. Dr. Gary Richardson and the Rev. R. Clay Moore performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gerald Stigler of Senatobia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conn L. Roberts of Senatobia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel James Stigler of Drew, Miss. The groom is the son of Mrs. Robert George Horton and the late Mr. Horton of Ridgeland, Miss. He is the grandson of Mrs. Delores Glazer of Ridgeland; the late Mr. Clark Horton of Jackson, Miss.; and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ross of Prentiss, Miss. Nuptial music was provided by pianist Mrs. Rufus Warren, organist Mrs. Chuck Strong, guitarist Mr. Jeff Young and vocalists Ms. Mary Beth Smith and Mr. Kent McIngvale. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white slim-line gown with button-over-zipper closure. The intricate lace gown featured a high mandarin keyhole back and fishtail train finished with scalloped edging. Swarovski crystals were delicately sprinkled throughout with decorative beading at the empire waist. The bride’s chapel-length illusion veil was decorated with matching appliqués around the scalloped edge and accented by a handmade matching lace and crystal hair clip. Her arm bouquet of hydrangeas, lilies and lilacs was hand-tied with ivory satin from her mother’s wedding dress. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Emily Carpenter Alford, and the maid of was honor Sarah Caroline Leach. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Webb Oliver, Rachel Caroline Stigler and Crystal Gail Wise. Bridesmaids wore lilac floor-length gowns and carried hand-tied arm bouquets of lilies. Serving as the best man was Robert George Horton, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Andrew Beaudoin, Jacob Johnston, Ben Stigler and Adam Wakefield. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Back Acres Country Club, where guests dined on a Southern menu of fruits and cheeses, Gulf Coast shrimp, catfish on a stick, grilled chicken kabobs and barbecue-tinis provided by First Choice Catering out of Horn Lake, Miss. The bride’s cake featured alternating layers of vanilla, strawberry and Italian crème iced with vanilla buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers. The groom’s cake was a chocolate confection shaped and iced to replicate Colonel Rebel. Both cakes were created by Patricia Farrish from Batesville, Miss. EverBlooms in Senatobia created the floral arrangements for the ceremony and reception. Guests danced to the music of Stephen Fowler and New Era from Memphis. As the night concluded, the couple departed as their friends and family released wishing lanterns into the night sky. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in honor of the bride and groom at the Como Steakhouse. After a honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple is at home in Oxford.
