Last time Sharmanka (a collaboration between sculptor-mechanic EDUARD BERSUDSKY, theatre director TATYANA JAKOVSKAYA, and light & sound designer Sergey Jakovsky) brought their fabulous automata to IMAG we were positively evangelical about them and this time round the show is even better, transporting you in so many ways. Every 45 minutes the figures crank into action and you watch (on seats from the old Scala Cinema in Strothers Lane) a show that’s like having a pound of cheese before bed, with Terry Gilliam and Tim Burton choreographing your dreams. All accompanied by a haunting musical score to which the creations themselves contribute and lighting that casts extraordinary, expressionist shadows. With the automata incorporating everything from industrial apple peelers to old sewing machines as well as intricate (and often devilish) figures, they’re works of art in their own right, given names like ‘The Singer Tower,’ ‘Winter Tuna Fishing in the Caucasus ,’ ‘His Master’s Voice’ and ‘The Secret Life of Artists.’ But it’s when they come alive that they become truly extraordinary and once seen, they’re never forgotten. Absolutely UNMISSABLE.

MARC FRESHPAINT Hung, 04-26 Nov Hung continues to give valuable support and exposure to original talent with a show from a French street artist who’s been living and working in Scotland for the past 12 years. Having dropped out of art school in France, Marc found himself inspired by the “NYC subway renaissance which has now spread as a global art movement”. Though this is an indoor show, his real passion comes from working at the mercy of the elements. The exhibition at HUNG will showcase some older work including collages and inks alongside more recent writings and portraits.

the character of the captivating Longbird we realise that he is not all he seems. This touching, funny film by one of the country’s most promising young animators is the centrepiece of an exhibition which has a full supporting programme of film-makers past and present from Edinburgh College of Art. The Art Gallery at Inverness Museum becomes a cinema of yesteryear for the purpose with photographs by Tobias Feltus, filmed interviews and other ephemera relating to the film. And, as we saw when we visited the Sharmanka exhibition, they even have the old seats from the Scala in Strothers Lane as a fine trigger for a rush of nostalgia. No lame 3D and dustbin sized buckets of popcorn here thank you very kindly. The Making of Longbird has just won the Short Grand Prix at the Warsaw International Film Festival 2011 and the artist has been nominated for a New Talent Award 2011 by BAFTA in Scotland.
The show features paintings and drawings by Diane Roberts, Leo Sharratt, Carola Splettstoesser and Helen Suzanne, along with ceramic objects by Brigid Sharratt. Although the work on display is diverse, the five are united by a love of nature, particularly the scenery and wildlife of the Highlands and Islands. eden-court.co.uk

MENIE: A PORTRAIT OF A NORTH EAST COMMUNITY, to 26 Nov, Alicia Bruce is an award-winning photographer who roots her artistic practice in social engagement with communities. Menie: A Portrait of a North East Community is a recent project by the artist, which can be seen in an exhibition of her work at Moray Art Centre. Through the project she highlights the particular situation of the Menie Estate, an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Aberdeenshire coast, and the residents’ protest against Donald Trump’s planned golf course there. Bruce poses her subjects in restaged compositions from celebrated paintings to make memorable and powerful portraits that eloquently make their case. morayartcentre.org

IMAG THE MAKING OF LONGBIRD – A IONA GALLERY, RETROSPECTIVE WILL ANDERSON, 19 Nov - 18 Feb The Making of Longbird seems at first to be a documentary, unveiling archive footage of a Russian animated film from 1911 about a master animator, a work of art and a terrible fire. But that’s not the whole story.

Always one of the most rewarding events in the Inverness cultural calendar, the Film Festival is back for its ninth year. The 2010 fest saw 15 Scottish and three UK premières, Palme D Or entrants and films from Asia, and this year looks like being every bit as good. Highlights this year include a series of shorts featuring an adaptation of Raymond Carver s majestic short story The Neighbours, the Scottish premiere of Take Shelter, winner of two awards at Cannes (and starring the year s fastest rising star JESSICA CHASTAIN), a previously unaired episode of MARK COUSINS towering The Story Of Film and the Bosnian-set The Whistleblower with a fine cast including RACHEL WEISZ, MONICA BELLUCI, VANESSA REDGRAVE and BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH. You can pick any lines at random from Shakespeare and even if you don’t quite understand what they mean, can’t fail to notice the irresistible rhythm of the language. Combine that with some cracking yarns and some sort of explanation for the Bard’s enduring appeal. And once you “get” Shakespeare you’ll be hooked. This is a UK-wide initiative working in partnership with the National Theatre and National Youth Theatre, spreading the word through a combination of teacher training, workshops and student performance in a professional theatre, empowering young people while emphasising the timelessness of the plays. If there’s one guarantee of excellence in kids’ theatre it’s when the words “a Tall Stories production” are attached. Founded back in 1997 by directors Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell, Tall Stories’ unique brand of physical story theatre has toured from London England to London Ontario, and from the West End to Broadway, taking in Ireland, Poland and Asia en route. Part of that route being the Highlands, with The Gruffalo and Room On The Broom being notable productions up here. THE SNOW DRAGON finds a young goat called, suitably, Billy, preparing for the big night when the creature of the title will bring him goodies and everything he wants, only to bump into some wolves in the woods. In our grumpier moments we sometimes get a little frustrated that the annual panto is by far the most popular event of the year at Eden Court, but we guess that anything getting people into a theatre has to be applauded. And, of course, the panto invariably proves to be enormous fun. This time round they re doing perhaps the best loved story of all, Cinderella, complete with glass slippers, the Fairy Godmother, a pumpkin stagecoach and Prince Charming. And, courtesy of the Ugly Sisters you even get two Dames for the price of one. Now the winter nights are drawing in most of us tend to slip into a natural hibernation mode, snuggling up indoors and taking it easy. Not Team Focus, aka Christine Robertson, John Macrae and Alistair Davidson, who instead will be cycling for five days, starting on 05 Nov, through America ’s Death Valley, covering 266 miles and climbing to 5500 ft. All to raise funds for Highland Hospice and Epilepsy Scotland. Christine explains her personal reasons for taking part in what sounds like an extraordinary event. “Two of my sons were diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 16 and we are very committed to fundraising to enable this Charity to carry on its work promoting awareness, education and providing support for the 40,000 people in Scotland with the condition. Cycling Death Valley is going to be a tough personal challenge for me as before I started training I had not been on the road on a bike for 25 years.” Ali has a bit more experience of cycling which he hopes will come in useful. “In 2010 and 2011 John and I were part of the Focus Vehicle Rental team which took part in the Black Isle Cycle Challenge,” he recalls. “This planted the seed that I should take on something more challenging, which cycling Death Valley will undoubtedly be. The Highland Hospice has always held a special place in my heart having cared for my father before he passed away in 1997.” John Macrae’s attitude shows that it’s never too late to aim for something new. “The challenges whilst training for the 266 mile cycle have greatly improved my fitness and changed my life for the better. With the support of everyone who sponsors my team mates and I, we will help to make a small difference to our chosen charities.” Three local people doing something admirable to make a difference. And to their even greater credit, they’re financing everything themselves so all the money donated goes straight to their chosen charities. An unusual programme in that it concentrates on American composers, showcasing some of the pioneering creations produced from those shores in the twentieth century and making for an evening that should attract an audience eager to experience something that comes with both playfulness and invention. So you’ll get CHARLES IVES’ witty and zany Piano Trio contrasting with the darker Voice of The Whale by GEORGE CRUMB, an atmospheric and enigmatic composition with the masked performers bathed in blue light. And perhaps the most notable US composer of all, STEVE REICH, whose minimalist New York Counterpoints and Road Movies are not only invigoratingly bold (the former is a work “for clarinet and tape”) but also hypnotically rewarding. A few months back Eden Court audiences got the chance to witness JAZZ+ musician Steve Severin providing a live score for a film and now it’s the turn of the GRAEME STEPHEN QUINTET to do likewise, this time to accompany Frank Murnau’s SUNRISE, considered by many to be the finest silent film ever made by a Hollywood studio. Award winning Aberdeen-born guitarist Stephen has composed a powerful score to the Oscar-winning tale of a married man persuaded to drown his wife by a dangerous new lover. Incorporating influences from folk, classical and jazz, he’ll be joined by CHRIS STOUT (violin), BEN DAVIS (cello), PHIL BANCROFT (saxophone) and CHRIS WALLACE (drums/percussion) for what should be a treat for both eyes and ears.

It’s quite a month for reformed bad boys playing Ironworks. Elsewhere you can read about two such examples in the form of Shaun Ryder and Craig Charles, but GOLDIE might have made the transition most adeptly of all. Born in Birmingham, he was in care all his life, with four different foster parents, creating a self-reliance that’s flooded his entire career. And what a career. At its apex is his role as the Godfather of drum’n’ bass, but his other accomplishments are staggering: historical graffiti artist (covering his estate with over 60 murals by the age of 17); acclaimed fine artist; alchemist selling gold teeth in New York; author; orchestral conductor; part-time Hollywood actor; gossip column mainstay; ‘Eastenders’ character; reality TV and documentary star; yoga enthusiast... But never, ever forget the music. He’ll be spreading the Metalheadz D’n’B word from behind the decks and we’ll 18 be reminded why that irresistible rumble of noise remains his heartbeat.

Beginning in January, The Supper Club will provide an opportunity to socialize, drink, eat, dance and make merry whilst listening to some great live music, from both local and bigger name jazz acts. The grand BIM Mozart performance will feature not just the Requiem but also the lovely Ave Verum, the Overture to Il Seraglio and favourite arias from Mozart’s other operas. There is a fine line-up of soloists, two of whom performed in the hugely-popular Messiah Project in 2009: renowned mezzo-soprano Alison Wells, and much-loved baritone Richard Morrison. The very first song The Twilight Sad ever wrote was called That Summer At sHome I Had Become The Invisible Boy , marking the move from the tried and trusted covers routine to something altogether more ambitious. And it found the band from Kilsyth signed to Fat Cat and showcasing a distinctive Scottish take on shoegazing courtesy of their terrific debut album, Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters . For the follow up, Forget The Night Ahead , they continued to indulge an experimental urge, even incorporating the sound of fire extinguishers into their proceedings, but for their new album, No One Can Ever Know they ve finally managed to give some shape to their relentlessly quixotic energy, making their best record yet. Overseen by none other than Andy Weatherall in the loose role of advisor cum antiproducer , they re drawing on the influence of post-punk synth bands this time round, inspired by the likes of Magazine, Cabaret Voltaire, Fad Gadget and, perhaps most effectively, Public Image Limited. Like Glasvegas, they make no attempt to sing in anything other than Scottish brogue, their sound being all the better for it and suggesting they re on the brink of something pretty spectacular.

Funnily enough, Hoots always seems to be most enticing in the winter months; a refuge from the elements and plenty of opportunities to warm up by bouncing around. And there ll certainly be a lot of that going on this month. Kicking off with the reliably boisterous punk of the mighty SIGNAL at Mad Hatters on Fri 04 Nov. Support from SEED OF SORROW ensures a top night. DAY OF DAYS also look worth checking out at Mad Hatters on Fri 18 Nov, the Glasgow/ Perthshire combo armed with some nifty songs that should appeal to fans of We Were Promised Jetpacks and their ilk. Sat 26 Nov sees ICA favourites HE SLEPT ON 57 at Mad Hatters heading towards the end of what s been a pretty impressive year for them with growing panache, while we re already excited about THE MOUSE THAT ATE THE CAT (pic) on Fri 02 Dec, an electronic duo made up of Colin Keenan of Drive-by Argument and Brian Henderson of The Dykeenies. Downstairs, Hootananny provides the usual emphasis on the more traditional end of the spectrum, though there are some intriguing bookings, most notably RED SKY JULY on Wed 16 Nov. They re an alternative country combo, founded by Texas guitarist Ally McErlaine; his wife Shelly Poole, a former member of the fondly remembered Alisha s Attic; and Charity Hair, formerly of The Alice Band. This year s show will contain a mixture of Christmas carols and Traditional Scottish music from 5.30pm and will feature a spectacular projection show by Arts in Motion which will bring the Town House to life with animations just in time for the arrival of Santa Claus and members of the cast of this year s Eden Court Theatre Cinderella . Following the switching on of the Lights, Santa and the Provost will lead the crowd down Church Street to the Old High Church where the traditional Children s Christmas Carol Concert Ding Dong Merrily Old High will take place at 6.30pm.

open for shopping as it should be! If awards were given for the most photographed shops in our city, there would be little doubt that those in the Victorian Market would win by a mile. Every century or so though, give or take twenty years, the roof of the Victorian Market in Inverness needs to be replaced; and this winter the Highland Council as Trustees of the Inverness Common Good Fund are investing £900,000 to ensure that this wonderful facility is there for future generations to enjoy.
Naturally working on a roof requires the old arcade to have some scaffolding erected, but business will continue as usual and we re even promised a few seasonal interior flourishes. Away from the hustle and bustle of the corporate world of the Eastgate Centre, the Victorian Market offers shopping at a gentler pace with much friendlier shopkeepers and a proper Christmas spirit. Also, make sure to look upwards at the model railway travelling round the whole market. It ll be there from 1st Dec onwards.

Inverness plays host to the biggest free Hogmanay party in Scotland and this year s event looks like being even better than ever. Hosted by funnyman Craig Hill, gates open at 7.30 and the timings of the event are scheduled to allow people to get the very best from the night, with top Celtic Rock act WOLFSTONE headlining at 10.15pm, their homecoming being the first time they ve played Hogmanay here. HOODJA kick things off at 8pm with their high octane traditional ceilidh sounds, followed at 9.15 by BAGS OF ROCK fronted by Gregor James, former lead guitar from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. If you decide to stay for the bells, they ll be accompanied by one of the most impressive traditional bands around, SKERRYVORE. Alcohol is available on site, with nips at midnight, so don t go bringing your own. And remember to wrap up warm. Kick off the countdown to Christmas by joining hundreds of Santas in the INVERNESS SANTA RUN, a 5km fun run with a festive twist. We’re almost (almost) getting used to the sight of the city full of people dressed as Father Christmas, such is the popularity of the annual event. Participants can set their own fundraising target, but everyone should raise a minimum of £30 for WildHearts and there’ll be some very special prizes up for grabs for those fundraisers that really go for it. Bring a camera, eh?

That’s “rowing” as in boats’n’stuff, rather than a couple having a domestic. Considering we’ve got a whopping great river flowing through the centre of the city, it’s a shame that the only publicity for people taking to the water seems to come from the annual raft race. Especially as the sport is finally getting extensive TV coverage on days other than the Oxford/Cambridge jolly, something that looks set to continue with next year’s Olympics and (a little further on the horizon) the Commonwealth Games in Scotland to come. Inverness Rowing Club, based on the Caledonian Canal in Torvean boasts a choice of a 5150m stretch of water to the west (towards Loch Ness) or 2000m to the east (towards the Moray Firth). They pride themselves on having the “Best Rowing Water in Scotland”, the canal being relatively sheltered, with no tide or stream, no sharp bends, and with little traffic. There is also a good towpath, which makes coaching easier. The fact that crews from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow frequently make the trip North for training gives evidence of the quality of the water up here. The club operates all year round with Head of the Canal Races over 4.5km from Dochgarroch to Tomnahurich. On Sat 19 the Fours & Quads Head takes place over two divisions at 11.30am and 2pm, then on Sun 19, the Small Boats Head is at 11am and 1.30pm. While not as well known as its English and Scottish equivalents, the National Dance Company Wales founded by Roy Campbell-Moore and Ann Sholem in 1983 is rapidly becoming one of the most respected troupes around. The Cardiff based company, led by Artistic Director ANN SHOLEM makes its first ever visit to Eden Court with twelve performers dancing a triple bill from world-renowned choreographers, including OHAD NAHARIN’s Black Milk & B/olero. Naharin is the man behind the incredible Minus 16, NDT2’s spectacular closing number from the Dutch company’s last EC show, so we’re expecting something pretty impressive. Also on the bill is Quixoteland, by internationallyrenowned choreographer GUSTAVO RAMÍREZ SANSANO, a comical and entertaining modern interpretation of the story of Don Quixote by Cervantes. Dynamic and musical movements express intense emotions, culminating in a powerful duet between the two lovers. Finally, the company will perform a brand new work from choreographer ELEESHA DRENNAN. Eleesha, who is also a dancer with the Company, choreographs “an imaginative journey that is both physical and metaphorical”. Trying to pin down the appeal of dance with words is, as the preceding soundbyte demonstrates, never quite as appealing as seeing the combination of athleticism and grace in the flesh, so you’ll just have to go along to see why the company is so highly regarded. eden-court.co.uk

Based on Roger Hutchison’s elegiac novel of the same name, Scots playwright David Harrower offers audiences the richly detailed and unhurried description of a dying way of life in Northern Raasay. Calum MacLeod, having battled the inaction of authorities on Raasay for years, sets off alone with a pick, a shovel and a wheelbarrow to build a road that will connect up the island. Directed by the highly acclaimed Gerry Mulgrew and a co-production between National Theatre of Scotland and Communicado, it’ll be good to see it in its Highlands spiritual home.
In our grumpier moments we sometimes get a little frustrated that the annual panto is by far the most popular event of the year at Eden Court, but we guess that anything getting people into a theatre has to be applauded. And, of course, the panto invariably proves to be enormous fun. This time round they’re doing perhaps the best loved story of all, CINDERELLA, complete with glass slippers, the Fairy Godmother, a pumpkin stagecoach and Prince Charming. And, courtesy of the Ugly Sisters you even get two Dames for the price of one. This year’s show will once again be directed by and star panto favourite Iain Lauchlan alongside a fantastic professional company and a host of local children. A neglected window is seriously in need of repair... large pieces of wood have crumbled like Cadbury Flake leaving a hole over ¼ of an inch deep... precisely the wrong sort of wood-filler’s been applied... it’s not setting properly... and it’s starting to rain... Still unwilling to believe that a filler which is guaranteed only to work in holes of less than a quarter of an inch deep, can’t cope with the nearly inch-deep gash in my window sill I assume all it needs is more time to harden. However with the rain starting and the Storm Petrels offering portents of an absolute stooshy of a downpour I’m left with the problem of the exposed, very slowly drying, putty being likely to get very wet again. Then I get my great idea – it’s obvious really, cover up the repair with something waterproof – how could I not have realised that sooner? The race is on to find a large enough sheet of polythene before the heavens completely open. In the old days I’d have had a roll of black bin liners in a cupboard in the kitchen, but the advent of the

Luckily as I pass through my vestibule (it’s a word) on the way into the house to look for something suitable, a pile of charity collection sacks that, well, collects on a shelf behind my front door falls over and my feet are awash in a sea of large polythene bags. A couple of these are exactly what I need to cover my window repair during the rainy season. Instead of going ahead and doing that though, I start to wonder about the ethics of the situation... The charity people put these bags through our doors in the hope we’ll fill them with unwanted but still serviceable clothing which they can sell on and thus help out their... clients I suppose is the word these days. I’ve never ever filled one of these sacks and taken into one of their thrift-shops, is it therefore ethical for me to use one for my own benefit? Quickly I realise that, yes, it is. It’s not only ethical but it’s a an environmentally sound way of re-using just a few of the very many bags that collect behind my front door each and every week. There’s no way that, even if I did have a mind to, I could fill even a small fraction of the number of sacks I’m issued. How much stuff do they think the average household gets rid of in a week? By my calculation, if we filled all of the charity

bin liners that came through our doors we’d need to be buying enough clothes to re-stock Matalan every month, which would be great for the likes of Matalan and possibly for the economy in general but a bit crap for the charity shops because we’d have absolutely no need for second hand clothes. LOL as they say in text messages, but I’ve just nipped down stairs to make a cup of coffee and witnessed yet another charity collection bag being put through my front door. In defence of the practise, I imagine that the charities feel if they keep bombarding you with these things, one day their bag will arrive just as you were about to throw out that old Hugo Boss suit that’s in perfect condition, but well, you just don’t see yourself wearing it anymore... which is fair enough, but maybe the charity shops could have a little amnesty basket just inside the door where we could put our unused bags with out feeling guilty? That way the bags may go on to arrive at someone else’s home on Hugo Boss throw-out day? Incidentally, the application of two sacks over a period of three days still failed to get the filler to set, however I have since found a wood filler that hardens in around ten minutes and works in holes of any depth! It’s marvellous resin-based stuff. Anyway just thought I’d let you know the window is now fixed - don’t want you worrying that I’m having to spend an entire winter exposed to the elements. KEN

Gordon St, Forres 01309 672981 The Mosset Tavern was packed to the gills on this particular Sunday lunchtime, so I knew they must be getting something right. It turned out they are getting quite a bit right as a matter of fact. Firstly, it is blessed with a lovely setting - very picturesque. It almost reminds me of one of ‘ye olde’ English taverns you get in the deepest, darkest parts of southern England. Inside there is a little twist on the usual pub decor with eye catching purple leather seating and interesting art. Although they were extremely busy and didn’t have a free table when we arrived, the staff could not have been more helpful and sat us comfortably at the bar to wait for a table to free up. There is a Sunday carvery on offer which smelled welcoming and was very popular – but we opted to order from the regular menu. I ordered the Lasagne which was a homely dish – and I don’t mean that to sound negative, just that it was very like a meal one would cook at home. My dining partner ordered the Fajitas which were imaginatively served and, although I would have
preferred it to have a bit more spicy heat, it was quite fresh, filling and roundly flavoured. The desserts of Berry Crumble and Rhubarb Creme Brûlée came in a generous portion size and both were delicious, home-cooked desserts, just the sort you would expect to get if you went round your mum’s for lunch. I can certainly see why the Mosset Tavern is so busy. It is in a beautiful spot, they serve food all day long and the atmosphere is fun and lively. Whilst for me the menu felt a little old fashioned they do serve very good traditional pub food / home-cooked meals and for many people that suits to a tee. Despite the slight lack of adventure on the menu I cannot deny that we had a good, filling meal and the place was very inviting. The Perfect Christmas Turkey Recipe PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 220C/425F/gas mark 7. Remove the giblets from the turkey and cut legs off. We never roast whole turkeys in the restaurant because the breast meat will become dry before the legs are cooked. A chefs trick, which ensures white and brown meat is cooked to perfection is to separate the legs from the main body. Breasts are roasted on the carcass as a “crown” moistened with butter to help the skin caramelize. Place legs next to crown on the roasting tray. Rub oil and 125g butter on the outside of the bird and season well. Place the remaining butter, lemon and whole herbs in the cavity. Cook the bird breast-side down for 15 minutes, then turn the oven down to 180C/350F/gas mark 4. Cook for 3½ hours, turning bird the right side up after 2 hours. Test the turkey with a skewer in the crown and legs. If the blood comes out, give it another 20 minutes. If clear juices run out, it’s cooked. Remove from the tray, wrap in foil and rest for 20 minutes while you make the gravy.

The basic equation for cooking turkey is 20 minutes for every pound /450g and 20 minutes extra. Cook the stuffing separate from your turkey as you will find that the breast will be cooked before the stuffing is ready. Christmas can be a very stressful time so if you have bought a frozen turkey take it out the freezer 2 days before and store in fridge you don’t want to be defrosting the turkey in the bath on Christmas day Always defrost your turkey in the house as friends of mine found out to their peril by deciding to defrost the turkey in the shed as they thought it was too big for the kitchen sink so left it in the garage and all the local cats had their Christmas dinner early. Chapter One came to the rescue and provided a turkey for them.

MASTERING THE ART OF PRE-XMAS DETOXING... We all know that there is a good chance we are going to overdo the eating and drinking during the lead up to Christmas. We should be allowed to do that once in a while, right? However, more and more people are actually making an effort to prepare their systems for the coming onslaught by detoxifying the body in the weeks leading up to the feast. . . So what exactly is body detoxification ? Detoxification refers to the body’s natural and constant process of eliminating poisons or toxins through the liver, kidneys, colon, lymph and skin. Although our bodies do it naturally every day, we do sometimes need an extra step to flush our systems. It’s all about cleaning and nourishing the body from the inside out. A detox cleans out body waste deposits. After a cleanse, when the body starts rebalancing and energy levels rise, people tend to feel healthier, have more stamina and experience a general feeling of wellbeing. One of the easiest ways to detoxify body wastes is a simple method called The Master Cleanser. This simple method has been around for over 60 years and even has it’s own celebrity fan – one Beyoncé Knowles. The rules are simple – you eat NO SOLID FOOD, just DRINK 6–12 GLASSES of the following mixture each day for a maximum of 10 days. u THE RECIPE 2 tablespoons lemon juice* (approx. 1/2 lemon) [*or lime juice] 2 tablespoons of genuine maple syrup 1/10 teaspoon or more cayenne pepper 1 cup* of water, room temperature [* 8 fluid ounces] Combine all the above ingredients in a jar and shake together.
Obviously not eating carries risks for people with certain medical conditions and if you are not looking to lose weight as well as detoxify then maybe this method is too extreme for you. It is best to check with your doctor before starting any extreme regimes.
