Newcastle-born Kailani Craine found her love for skating after attending a Hunter Ice Skating Stadium birthday party. “I was eight years old when I went along to a birthday party at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium, and I liked it so much that I kept going. One thing led to another. From attending a birthday party, I have now skated in two Olympics. It’s amazing how one small decision to go skating has led to this,” says Kailani. Kailani has represented Australia in the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympic figure skating competitions and has recently begun coaching at the Warners Bay rink around her training schedule, giving aspiring Olympians the chance to learn from the best. Hunter Ice Skating Stadium offers birthday party rooms and open skating sessions for all ages to grow their skating dreams with birthday party packages that are guaranteed to make your child’s birthday the coolest

place to be in Newcastle. And without the stress, mess, and cleaning-up! With four dedicated party rooms that can be booked for 8+ children to attend, prices include skate hire, decorations, food, drinks, and an ice cream birthday cake – all starting from $34pp. Parties can be booked to take place during the public ice-skating sessions on Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturdays and Sundays. Even if you’re not having a birthday party, public skating sessions will allow you and your family to hone your skating skills.
