Visiting Antarctica is not for the faint of heart. But if you have traveled everywhere and are still itching to see new places, Antarctica should be on your list for 2014. The best time to visit Antarctica is November – March. Expect to pay around $5,000 for your trip. Most people travel by ship from Argentina. There are some flights available but they tend to be quite pricey. Shore visits are three hours or less and no more than 100 people at one time.
