A Fond Farewell to ISS President Roger Hove: International Education Leader, Colleague, and Friend
I
t is with a sense of both sadness and profound appreciation that we recognize the departure of Roger Hove from ISS. To say that Roger has done it all in international education is an understatement. Roger began his international career as a Math/PE Instructor and then Business Manager at Oil Companies School in Tripoli, Libya in 1974. He then moved to Malaysia and served as the Business Manager at the Int'l School of Kuala Lumpur followed by a stint as Elementary Principal at the Int'l School of Stavanger in Norway. Roger first joined ISS in 1986, as a Principal then a Superintendent at the American School of Dubai. In 2005, he moved to our Head Office in Princeton, New Jersey where he has served as Vice President, Executive Vice President, and President from 2005 to 2015. During his tenure at ISS Roger has leveraged the strengths of our people to offer the international education community a set of ever-evolving, innovative services: • Expanded regional operations in China and the Middle East, including the ownership or management of 17 ISS schools worldwide while strengthening and institutionalizing the collaboration and shared innovations between the schools • Launched the World Language Initiative (WLI), which is being used throughout the Middle East by

Publication Guidelines
Riffa Views International School (RVIS) is an International Schools Services (ISS) managed school located in a prestigious gated golf community in Bahrain. The school offers a standards-based curriculum in Nursery through Grade 11, with our final graduating year, Grade 12, beginning in 2015. Our faculty is student centered, collegial and dynamic. We are searching for enthusiastic educational pioneers to join our team.
Articles must pertain to international education or be of interest to the international c ommunity.
