STUDENTS AT ISIB WILL EXPERIENCE

ISIB aims to ensure any student at our school is developing the skills and abilities for a future world of uncertainty. These skills we call SMILES. ISIB aims to ensure that SMILES is achievable by all students regardless of gender, culture, race, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. ISIB enjoys an inclusive, safe and friendly environment in which all individuals are welcome and accepted. ISIB offers a broad character-building education consisting of subjects such as Music from Early Years, Foreign Language (Spanish and Danish Culture) from Year 1 and Global Perspectives, Science and Biology from Year 6. We emphasise students’ physical development throughout their education and Specialist Physical Education taught from Year 1 to Year 11. At ISIB we believe that education is reflected in the behaviour of our learners. Our Personal, Social, Health Education whole school curriculum enhances growth-mindset culture and builds ethos; enhances a sense of belonging and community; values every child and is inclusive, and nurtures positive a relationship with self and others, all conducive to learning.

After an initial assessment they will join the program at their Danish speaking and listening level. Students in second language classes are offered to sit Sprogskolen’s Language Proficiency Certificate Examination.
