Testimonials

Pierrick Candau École Nationale d´Ingenieurs de Tarbes, Francia (Fall 2015) Campus Aguascalientes I wanted to come at Universidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes in order to discover another way to study Engineering and find a country very diferent from Europe. UP has a beautiful campus, during the whole exchange I enjoyed studying here, and coming to Aguascalientes was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. UP did all the best for me, I met a lot of new friends and some of them became a Mexican family for me. The univesity staff are amazing, they did all their best for the students and even more for the foreign students. Elisa Cò. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy (Fall 2015) Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara

My exchange experience at UP was incredible. The University is one of the most prestigious University in Latin America, its campus is really modern and I had the opportunity to attend courses with professional teachers. Moreover, UP organizes a lot of extra activities about sports, arts and culture that filled my days. My period was characterized by the kindness of Mexicans and their culture. With the help of Spanish course, trips and my classmates I felt really integrated in the Mexican culture. At the end of my exchange period I think that UP has been the perfect choice ever. Guadalajara is the best mix to learn and to have fun in an incredible country. VIVA MEXICO.Martin Marcinko, Croatia Spring 2014, Campus Mexico City

Denis Mundorf WHO Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany (Summer 2015) Universidad Panamericana, Campus Mexico People is what I like more in Mexico and the UP, I’m used to living outside Germany, I can picture myself working and living in another country. The hardest thing of living outside the home land is to adapt to the culture, therefore, choosing a good place to live and spend time with the people living in the place you are visiting is an advise I can give.

Universidad Panamericana has a distinct global perspective

Aguascalientes

campus In August 1989, Aguascalientes Campus (also called Bonaterra) was established at the Ex-Hacienda de Ojocaliente. It hosts 1,300 students. Aguascalientes is known for its gentle climate, and relaxed provincial character. Capital of the state bearing the same name, the attractive colonial city is today a burgeoning commercial and industrial center. Aguascalientes is Mexico’s second smallest state, yet it enjoys high commercial status, producing a large proportion of Mexico’s high-tech manufacturing output (recently, companies such as Texas Instruments, Xerox and Nissan have opened facilities in Aguascalientes, contributing to growth in the manufacture of electronics, mechanical products, metal and automobiles).

16

17

Guadalajara

campus Guadalajara Campus was established in a property built between 1930 and 1940, so it preserved the architectonic style of that time. It hosts 3,200 students. Guadalajara is the capital of Jalisco. The city is located in the central region of Jalisco in the western-pacific area of Mexico. With a population of 1,564,514 it is Mexico’s second most populous municipality. Guadalajara is the 10th largest city in Latin America. The city is named after the Spanish city of Guadalajara, which came from an Andalusian Arabic name meaning “valley of stones”.

Mexico City

campus The University campus is a beautiful complex featuring both colonial (an ancient textile factory from the XVIII Century) and modern buildings (which were built trying to continue the colonial architecture). With a privileged location in the central south of Mexico City, Universidad Panamericana allows you to discover the city very easily, as it is only five minutes away from one of the main avenues, Avenida de Los Insurgentes, but yet inserted in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded with parks, malls and residences. This is why Mexico City campus can be easily reached from other parts of the city by bus and subway. It hosts 6,000 students.

About Mexico

When the Spaniards first arrived to America in the XV Century, they never imagined what kind of inhabitants they would find in prehispanic lands and what these cultures would become after their arrival. They also found beautiful forests, valleys, deserts, rainforests and complete variety of landscapes. Mexico’s culture is the result of the interaction among the first settlers, European culture and their relationship with nature. Today there are plenty of colonial cities, all of them full of beauty and folklore: Taxco in Guerrero, where you can admire and buy the best of Mexican silver handcraft; Puebla, not far away from Mexico City, where you can admire the finest examples of the baroque architecture completely merged with a Mexican style; Guanajuato, an intellectual city that also hosts the very famous “Festival Cervantino”; and Guadalajara, a modern city that also preserves its colonial history and art, as well as arts and crafts and gastronomic wonders.

22

Mexico City which is one of the largest in the world and has many outstanding places where you can admire the prehispanic and colonial past, to mention a few: San Angel, Coyoacan and Xochimilco. The choices for museums, cultural activities, night life, restaurants and shopping are infinite. If you move to the southern part of the country, you will find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world such as Cancun in Quintana Roo, which is also near the archeological Mayan sites in Chiapas and Yucatan. So if you plan to travel, you can´t miss Palenque, Tulum and Chicen Itza ruins! Mexican cuisine is part of the World Cultural Heritage and another good reason to enjoy Mexico. Other cultural interests are our precolombian and colonial traditions such as “El Día de Muertos”, “La Danza de los Viejitos”,“Los voladores de Papantla”, “La fiesta de la Virgen de Guadalupe” and “Las Posadas”.
