NFPA standard 10 2007 edition states, all fire extinguishers in service at a place of employment must be annu

ally inspected by a certified technician. In addition, every six years the extinguishers must be internally inspected and every twelve years they must be hydro-tested. Industrial Safety Inc. is one of northwest Wisconsin’s largest mobile fire extinguisher service providers. Our service trailer is equipped with an NFPA approved, filtered, dual hopper system and all of the tools to perform this service onsite. Generally, all that you would need to provide would be electricity to run our air compressor and lights.

• The Stat-X-First Responder is an emergency fire suppression tool and should be included as part of your on board on hand response equipment. Stat-X-First Responder excels at containing and supressing small fires in an enclosed space before it becomes unmanageable and requires a fire department with water. The use of water increases the damages, downtime, and the cost of recovery.

• The Stat-X-First Repsonder is a small, light, handheld unit with a pull actuator designed to be tossed into a room with an active fire to provide immediate fire suppression. It is an exceptional tool for Utility and Energy companies for use in manhole fires and underground vaults.

Chemguard EXTREME is the first and only foam concentrate designed specifically for Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS). TOWN OF LORAIN FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Town of Lorain Fire Department was established in 1982, after a group of people thought that the town could better serve their community by providing their own fire coverage. 40 years later, the town is still operating its volunteer fire department.

Service, Maintenance, and Inspection

We are your one-stop-shop.

At the present time, the department, lead by Fire Chief Matt Ennis, has 19 members. Lorain Fire’s command staff includes a Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, 2 Captains, and a Safety Officer. The department members come from many different backgrounds such as construction workers, farmers, well drillers, truck drivers and so on. Many of which own their own businesses, and give up their work at a moment’s notice to heed the call of a community member.

We have been ser vicing fire extinguishers in this area since 1989!

Lorain’s coverage area includes the town of Lorain and an auto-aid agreement to southern parts of the town of LaFollette. The fire department also provides mutual aid to Frederic Fire, Luck Fire, Siren Fire, Cumberland Fire, and the WI DNR as part of their Co-op for wildland suppression. Medical coverage is provided in their coverage area by Northland Municipal Ambulance. Without the medical runs, the fire department’s call volume is usually under 20 calls per year.
