Welcome to Augustana University!

My name is Ben Iverson, and along with my team of five people in our international programs office, we are excited to assist you with your journey to the U.S. before, during and after your time with us. During the fall semester, we start with a trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Badlands National Park, hiking and swimming at Black Elk Peak and Sylvan Lake and numerous other fun activities designed to help you get to know other students and our local culture. In addition to taking classes with award-winning professors in our teacher education department (our 3rd largest academic area at AU), you’ll have the opportunity to be placed in local schools to learn more about the U.S. approach towards elementary (kindergarten) education, for an integrated praxis experience. Past Norwegian students have described their time at AU as “unforgettable” and “the best thing I could have done during my studies.” We invite you to join us! Kan jeg få hjelp med å finne bolig? Yes. Housing is guaranteed on Augustana’s campus for students from Nord University. Once you have been admitted to AU and once you have confirmed your place by submitting an enrollment deposit, we will send you login information for our student portal where you may complete housing forms. The “standard” at Augustana is a double room shared with one other person. If you prefer, you may request a single room for an additional charge.

Støtteordning: Du kan få støtte fra Lånekassen, både for skolepenger og reiser. I tillegg får du rabatt på skolepenger fra Augustana. Skolepengesatsen (tuition) er noe høy, mens bolig- og matutgifter blir subsidiert fra Augustana.
