THE LITTLE GIN COMPANY Just The Gin & Tonic........ Gin is in the throes of a renaissance, and The Little Gin Company are probably part of the reason why! This unique mobile gin business was established by local gin loving friends Emma and Nicola at the beginning of 2015. Since then they have been bringing the people of Warwickshire (and further afield) delicious gin drinks aplenty. The gin girls lovingly converted a vintage horse trailer to bring gin to the people; recently at events such as Ragley Hall Game Fair, Stratford Home and Garden Show and local music festivals. Their boutique gin bar is suitable for any occasion but is particularly popular for weddings and is ideal for those couples looking to add a unique twist to their special day. The Little Gin Company provide tailored wedding packages to suit a couples particular requirements and are able to tailor a menu to their tastes - whilst they love gins they are also able to offer a broader selection of drinks; be that a selection of gin cocktails or a full bar service. The boutique gin bar is a great way to deliver reception drinks with a twist, and the lovingly converted trailer creates a real feature for your wedding bar. The Little Gin Company have two converted trailers and a beautifully rustic pop-up bar so are able to cater for weddings small and large. The entrepreneurial duo also offer gin tasting sessions that work brilliantly for hen dos, or any excuse to get together and drink gin! Find out more about The Little Gin Company and their wedding offering at www.thelittlegincompany.com or get in touch via info@thelittlegincompany.com to discuss ideas and package options - the girls are always happy to provide some ‘ginsiration’. You can also sign up to The Little Gin Company newsletter on the website to find out first about upcoming events and gin clubs in the area.

WOODLAND LUXE Words By Sian Kalidoski

Photography By The Little Caravan Wedding Photography

Venue Hothorpe Hall & The Woodlands At the heart of the midlands on the border of Leicestershire and Northants, lie two very different - but equally stunning - wedding venues. Set in 12 acres, surrounded by countryside and with barely a farm building in sight, proudly sits the historic country house wedding venue Hothorpe Hall, with its recent woodland wedding venue - aptly named The Woodlands - nestled in the trees. As you turn off the sleepy country lane near Market Harborough you are met by the sight of an impressive Georgian Manor House at the end of the driveway. Hothorpe Hall sits in eight of the estate’s 12 acres and is surrounded by well-kept gardens, terraces that are ideal for drinks receptions, and facilities to keep younger guests entertained, like the outdoor play area. Enter up the grand steps of the manor house and into the most popular licensed civil ceremony room, The Terrace, which has opposite has an impressive cantilever staircase on which to make your bridal entrance. Hothorpe Hall’s original features combine well with the modern touches added in more recent years, which make it the sought after wedding venue it is. Weddings at Hothorpe Hall are exclusive events, so your wedding day will be the only event taking place at the hall on you big day. The variety of areas available inside Hothorpe Hall is often what impresses couples as it helps make the big day seamless with guests moving through the house (guided by the wonderful Master of Ceremonies) as they experience parts of your wedding day – so there’s no waiting around while tables and chairs are moved or re-laid. Hothorpe Hall also includes 55 bedrooms that are exclusively available for you and your guests so you can extend your party into the night and reminisce over breakfast the next day; the large dining room in the old stable block with feature beams; stunning views, architecture and interiors which all make for beautiful

wedding photography; and your choice of a civil ceremony in the manor house or a religious ceremony in neighbouring Theddingworth church. Some 200 metres beyond the trees, discretely hidden from Hothorpe Hall, sits The Woodlands in four of the 12 acre estate. It offers couples a woodland village made up of 22 log cabin bedrooms; a venue with ceremony, function and dining space as well as a licensed bar; an outdoor wedding blessing area in the woods; and an elevated luxury treehouse bridal suite, in which to celebrate their wedding.

Its appeal for couples who have fallen in love with the idea of an outdoorsy wedding celebration, is knowing they also have a uniquely designed glass and timber venue should the British weather let them down on the big day, which let’s be honest, could happen! The Woodlands has seen no two weddings the same since it opened a year ago as the blank, natural canvas both inside the venue and in the outside space allows couples to create their dream day. Whether its ice creams served from a vintage bicycle during your drinks reception; paper poms poms hanging from the trees and fairly lights cascaded across the log cabins; space hopper races for guests; a game of croquet before the evening reception; or a silent disco on the lawn as the sun sets, The Woodlands provides plenty of inspiration. Both venues are managed by the same experienced award-winning team, with delicious modern food prepared by a team of experienced resident chefs. So whether a traditional country house wedding is your thing, or a magical enchanted woodland wedding fits more with your style, you’re assured a stunning venue and perfect wedding day with lots of memories to treasure.

The Shoot The wow factor of this beautiful venue is incredible, doing the photo shoot in The Woodlands was amazing and is such a unique venue to get married in. Our photographer on the day was Sarah Brittain Edwards of the Little Caravan Wedding Photography....she soon set about discovering the ideal locations to shoot for the day. To create the Woodland Luxe style we were looking for we enlisted the skills of The Wow Business, who created two table dressings; a rustic table amongst the trees with logs, candles & fruits to complement this look , and a stylish theatrical table consisting of a sequined cloth and impressive candelabras; they then went on to decorated the table with vintage books and succulents, for a more enchanted woodland vibe. Christopher Scotneys Mens Hire, styled our male model, in a more relaxed style appropriate for a woodland wedding, with a grey/blue suit and additional accessories including braces a bow tie.

The bridal wear is from Pink Confetti Bridal Boutique; they styled our female model firstly for our woodland look using a delicate lace covered dress designed by Nicola Anne Bridal, it looks incredible with the stunning floral crown & bouquet designed by Sue of the Garden Gate, Rugby, who is a very talented florist and loves working with natural floral designs. The make-up artist involved on the day was Sharon Cannon, she chose to keep the make-up slightly softer for the first look, with peach & nude tones for this natural look. The second dress from Pink Confetti is a Donna Lee Brides dress & it really is a show stopper, with frothy layers for a more dramatic look. Sharon Cannon decided this style could carry a slightly bolder colour on the make-up and lip colour; that, with the hair loosely tied up creates a striking bridal look. All of this was filmed by Richard James Video, who cleverly put it together and made a fantastic behind the scenes video for us here at Inspired Brides to share. Written by Sarah Humphreys. VINTAGE CHIC Words By Sarah Humphreys

Photography By Olivia Photography

A stylish vintage chic wedding in the Worcestershire countryside. Hannah & Christopher got married at Our Lady & St Brigids Church in Northfields on June 2015, they then held the reception at Alcott Farm with a relaxed vintage outdoor theme. " We tried to create a relaxed chic vintage kind of atmosphere- not vintage in terms of tea cups and bunting (there was definitely no bunting!) " Said Hannah "but more black and white chevron fabric mixed with Hessian, black metro tiles, hay bales and festoon lighting. " Flowers wise " I wanted a really colourful bridal bouquet with lots of different flowerstea roses, peonies, dahlias etc. We also included some succulents for a bit of structure and they were different. Craspedia were used for our button holes and our table center pieces." continued Hannah "Our florist was The Flower Center in Northfields. They were a florist we have visited for years and knew our church well. We also had simple arrangements at the pew ends in the church.. And of course lots of Gypsophelia, we had a lot of this around the edge of the field/ lake. " "My wedding dress was by a designer called Eliza Jane Howell and I purchased it from a shop in London called Wedding Atelier. I wore a long cathedral veil from Visionary Veils. " said the bride "my shoes were nothing special. I knew I would be walking on a field so I did not want very high heels or expensive shoes I would ruin. Instead I had some champagne gold, sparkly sandals from Dune. Chris wore a navy blue check Hugo Boss suit and white shirt. All the male members of the wedding party wore the same tie which we purchased from Racing Green. As it was likely to be warm we decided on trousers and waistcoats and not to bother with the jackets. They all wore matching socks and looked very smart! " "I had 4 bridesmaids and twin sister as Maid of Honour. They all had bouquets made up of one type of the flowers that were in my bouquet, i.e. one had all dahlias, one all peonies etc. As I didn’t know exactly what shade the flowers would come out I wanted to avoid a clash so decided on a very simple ivory dress." said Hannah.

“My mom was fantastic and made all the napkins” continued the bride “we found the chevron fabric and mom made over 100 napkins for us as well as wall panels and covers for the hay bales. We also made all our own chair sashes (again cutting our over 100 pieces of hessian!) Thanks Mom!” “What was important to us was it being fun and really social and not formal. “concluded Hannah “Lots of music (we had two bands and then made our own playlists for reception drinks, dinner and dancing late night). The type of food we like to eat normally Antipasti starters, Chicken main and Chocolate Salted Caramel Cheesecake for pudding. Enjoy it- it is all over too quickly. I am sure everyone says this but it really is true. I would also not sweat the small stuff as no one will notice other than you!”

A RUSTIC COUNTRY WEDDING Words By Sarah Humphreys

Photography By Tracy Muir Photography

Having met at Harper Adams an Agricultural College Samantha & Samuel wanted a wedding that reflected their country lifestyle & passion. Samantha Strong & Samuel Bell, otherwise known as Sam and Sam, got married at The Free Church Oakamoor, with Tipis set up for their reception at Oakamoor Cricket Club on 28th May 2016. "We live in Oakamoor and have done so for the last 5 years so it was lovely to be able to have our wedding & reception here and create our outside rustic country wedding." said Samantha " The Tipis provided intrigue and interest to our guests. From the invitation going out we were asked all manner of questions and then on the day our guests were still blown away. Our spaniel Freddie also joined us on the day along with my horse Monty, who made an appearance at the church. We put hay bales outside the Tipis, along with some garden games such as Croquet and Jenga; there was also a game of cricket going on the same afternoon and with the gorgeous weather that day it really brought our rustic country English wedding together perfectly." "Dress wise after having tried on all sorts of styles I decided that I wanted a old classic English look with lace. The designer was Suzzanne Neville and I found that her style and tailoring suited me the best." said the bride " my shoes were bright pink from Ruby Shoo. I wanted to have shoes with a twist, that didn’t look like ‘wedding’ shoes, ultimately enabling me to wear them again and again. I loved that you could see just a hint of pink from beneath my dress, just a little bit of something different." "Sam and his groomsmen all wore cuff links made out of shotgun cartridges, " said Samantha " which very much reflected their shared interests, and his Stag weekend which focused on Clay pigeon shooting, the cuff links teamed with a navy blue suit, a green tweed waist coat and yellow cravat complemented the look. We wanted the hint of tweed as we felt it was a bit different and in keeping with our country style. We also had 4 bridesmaids " continues Samantha " all in a gorgeous navy blue dress with straps that could be worn many different ways. I’m not one for everything to be matching so loved the idea that the girls could wear them whichever way they wanted. "

Flowers wise I used our local florist, they designed and created my beautiful bouquet and flowers for our mothers. Everything else was done by my mother in law Debby.... she is an absolute wiz when it comes to the garden. She has an amazing poly tunnel and uses hydroponics to grow everything from lettuce to flowers.” continued Sam “She even dried petals from the previous year’s crop to make real confetti for our guests. Our wedding cake was also created by Debby. She is a fabulous cook and as I, and some of our guests had different food allergies she knew how to cater for us all.’’ “We did such a lot of DIY projects I’m not sure where to start. Sam made the Bar from scratch, sorted out extra up lighting both inside and outside the tipis. I painted signs to direct our guests and I also put together a sign post which pointed to all our important places in our life together to name but a few.” “Enjoy planning your wedding, and know your limitations.” concluded Sam “Chose 3 elements to focus your money and attention on; we chose The Tipis, the Band and the food. Many hands make light work but you need to be fully prepared beforehand. Being able to delegate becomes very important when making the most of your extra help. And if those last few things don’t get done, it’s not the end of the world and actually no one else will notice. Take some time out on your wedding day with your new husband/ partner to step back and enjoy what you have created.”

BOHEMIAN BRIDE Words By Barney Hatch

Photography By Kayleigh Pope

To some Talton Lodge may sounds like a jumbled rumour. “Apparently there’s this venue called Talton lodge in Newbold on Stour, Warwickshire with a manor house, a boathouse, a wagon, a wiggy wom and some yurts” Then I think; …. all that hearsay sounds intriguing. You’d want to know if the mystical place near where you live, exists wouldn’t you? Perhaps you’d be piqued enough to tap Talton lodge into Google Earth? You’d find Google Earth conspiring in the secrecy. The satellite images show a muddy walled garden with pig arcs, vegetable plots and a trampoline. If you were a historian you might deduce from the photographs that the walled garden dates back to at least the 1830's but you’d never guess that you could sleep in it. These pondering's have led not to a Marketing strategy but to a Cartesian philosophy: We think we exist therefore we must do. One good thing about Descartes is that if you’d rather think we don’t exist then we won’t exist for you. Behind the gibberish lurks a business point: Your marketing should accurately reflect people’s experience of what you are and who you are. Therefore, since Talton Lodge is different things to different people; a wedding venue, a manor house, a walled garden, a quirky mini festival site, a birthday venue, a place for family gatherings, leadership courses, sausage courses, corporate meetings or fundraisers, dancing or dining, hot tubbing, archery or reverse steer golf buggy driving, it’d be dangerous to market it in a way that jars with people’s actual experience of it (like changing gear without a clutch). The question is; does it count as a marketing strategy when you decide to let people come, define their own experience and tell other people what they did and what they thought so that maybe enough people will be interested to ask if we can create an experience for them?

We’re comfortable with the identity crisis if you are. We plan to keep Talton Lodge a badly kept secret. So spread the rumours or if you prefer, just keep thinking we don’t exist – we won’t tell anyone except maybe the people reading this article. And we might have a website if you look carefully: www.taltonlodge.co.uk. And there are lots of photos under Talton Lodge on google images. The Shoot This fabulous setting was ideal for our styled shoot; with so many stunning areas round every turn we were laterally spoilt for choice on where to photograph our model. Photographer Kayleigh Pope has a exceptional eye, and has captured this great shoot. The venue just calls out to those boho & festival brides, it has

a wonderful sense of peace & calm, so when I discovered the beautiful bridal boutique Boho Brides was just literally down the road from Talton Lodge and not only that they stock the most jaw dropping dresses; I couldn’t wait to see their range.... Boho Brides provided the beautiful designer gowns by Terry Fox & Marta by Emma Hunt London. To complete the look the very talented Clair Louise Make-up set to work creating a natural make-up palette of subtle golds & soft pink tones. The crowning glory of both looks were designed and made by Lucy of All Things Lucy, a gold vine halo ‘ Golden Muse ‘ and the silver head chain ‘ Liberty ‘ perfectly complemented the entire look.

Inside the Giant Tipi, Elegantly Fished Events created a wonderful table dressing, bringing together the great outdoors and creating a ‘ enchanted garden’ set. Layers of lace, glass jars, filled with flowers & thyme, then finishing the look with moss and tea lights. We were in our element creating this Boho Bride shoot for Inspired Brides. VINTAGE INSPIRED WEDDING HIRE HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT!

To Photo Booth or not to Photo Booth? That is the question.

Because it’s not really a party without a Photo Booth, but your average Photo Booth is.. well.. somewhat lacking in style. Of course you want the best entertainment for your guests but having spent a huge amount of time, effort and, let’s face it, hard cash planning every fine detail of a perfectly styled day you may well be reluctant to introduce a sad, wobbly plastic box to the corner of your beautiful reception venue. It would be understandable for you to cringe a little opening the Pandora’s Box of neon afro wigs, oversized plastic glasses and inflatable guitars. After all those months of planning you have to ask yourself; do you really want the lasting memories of your special day to include a rubber chicken? So you have to make a really tough choice; maintain your style or bring on the fun. Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to make that choice? Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could do both? Well here’s the great news; if you book with us you can because we are not your average Photo Booth. We are Camper Photo Booth and we add to your special day’s style rather than detracting from it. We are show stoppers, smile makers and catalysts for laughter and good times. Our Camper Photo Booth is a Photo Booth difference and tons of vintage appeal. We’ll put your guests in the driving seat whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Not only that our Camper Photo Booth comes with our unique selection of genuine vintage costumes and props, so whilst you’ll find tons of fun, there’s not a rubber chicken in sight. With Camper Photo Booth prices starting from just £495 we’re the life and soul of any party and if you can’t get enough of our campervans guess what? You can book them as your wedding car too! Combined wedding car and Camper Photo Booth packages start from just £695 so what are you waiting for? Yes you can! … In a Campervan.

BEHIND THE CAMERA WITH POPPY K PHOTOGRAPHY Words By Claire Keogh

Photography By Poppy K Photography

Claire of Poppy K Photography talks about Laura & Justin's country wedding, which also included their beloved horses. It was great to meet Laura when she booked me to photograph their wedding. We clicked straight away and had lots in common including our passion for horses. The wedding was planned and inspired by everything they love. Justin and Laura, along with friends and family, worked tirelessly leading up to the wedding, to make everything from marquee decorations to favours and table plans. They wanted their wedding to have a very personal touch. Firstly Laura and Justin had a pre-wedding shoot, with their young son, 2 weeks before their wedding. This was a great way for me to get to know the family and it helped them to feel relaxed in front of the camera before their big day. On the day of their wedding , I arrived at a beautifully decorated house where bridal preparations were underway. Laura was getting her hair and make-up done with her bridesmaids and family.... there was excitement and anticipation buzzing through the house. When it was time to leave two stunning black Friesian horses from A & J Carriages arrived at the house to take Laura to church; not to be outdone by his wife, Justin and his best man arrived at church in a shiny new tractor. Throughout the day personal touches continued through the wedding day which made the day special and unique. The whole day had a wonderful country and equestrian theme. Laura and Justin got married at a beautiful church in Haseley, once their vows and rings had been exchanged, the Vicar entertained guests and even invited the best man and another guest to the front of church, to share some words of wisdom on love and marriage with the newlyweds! After the ceremony Laura and Justin travelled back to their reception venue enjoying a glass of champagne in the sunshine, in the open top carriage. The reception was held at Laura’s livery yard, where a marquee had been put up with streamers and bows decorating trees and fences. The bride had requested some photographs with her horses, her friends had been working hard all morning to make sure the horses were beautifully turned out for their photographs and they looked stunning. All in all they were very well behaved considering they were not used to scary white wedding dresses!

A COUNTRY BARN WEDDING Words By Sarah Humphreys

Photography By Michelle Hardy Photography

A English country garden themed barn wedding in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside at Mythe Barn. Julie & Patrick got married at Mythe Barn, Atherstone, Warwickshire, 11th July 2015. " Our venue really lent itself to our wedding style, being set in beautiful countryside so all we had to do was decorate it with bunting and flowers." began Julie "so it really suited a rustic, shabby chic, English country garden theme we liked." "My wedding dress was bought from 'Dress Me Pretty' bridal room in Hinckley." continued Julie " The Designer was Romantica and it was a full length, open back, ivory lace gown, with diamante detail at the bust,a short train and a sweetheart neckline. My veil was my sisters that I borrowed from her. I got my shoes from Monsoon, " said Julie " they were ivory with diamante detail and a small heel, I really wanted them to be comfortable so I could wear them all day." "Patrick wore a slim fit, light grey suit from Next, a white shirt with navy detailing on the collar and braces for a quirky touch." said the bride " I had two bridesmaids, my sister Kirsty and my close friend Angela. They wore floor length coral gowns. " " Our flowers were from The Garden Rose in Hinckley, " Said Julie " I wanted peonies with gypsophila, and Jessica at the Garden Rose found the perfect coral peony which contrasted beautifully with the white gypsophila. The button holes and corsages were ivory roses and Patrick wore a coral peony so he stood out. We also collected lots of jars and filled them with flowers and decorated them with ribbons and lace for our centre pieces " " We were so lucky that Patrick’s Mum made our wedding cake, she is an amazing baker! We had three tiers; fruit, lemon and chocolate with a cascade of coral flowers falling down one side. " "For our finishing touches Patrick bought an American style post box which had ‘Mr and Mrs Tucker’ written on the side for our cards." said Julie " We also put together a short video which played on a loop featuring photos and events from our lives so far."
