CAMPERS HANDBOOK

INTRODUCTION FROM THE SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR

Dear Students and Parents,

We are delighted you are interested in our Fashion, Art & Design Summer Camp at the International School of Milan As an international school, we offer and ensure the safety and well-being of each student who attends the Summer Camp. Our primary goal for the students is to gain confidence through this extraordinary experience, discover new cultures and have fun while learning and developing their interests

Our school focuses a lot on cultural diversity and respect for others We help students achieve their passions and goals through different activities, such as language lessons, Fashion Design courses, sports activities and local trips around Milan and its surroundings This experience, alongside life in our excellent Boarding House, teaches them to become young adults, be responsible and understand international cultures and diversity

The camp is a two-weeks full-immersion experience during which Students will have the opportunity to explore different Fashion Design processes, develop their creativity and get an overview of the Milanese fashion world, with all its connections to Art and Design.

Through intense and enjoyable lessons at school and guided visits to Milan’s best Fashion, Art and Design areas, students will be involved in the different steps of a Sustainable Fashion project, from design to creation, photo shooting and final presentation of their product. On the final day we will create an exhibition of all works from the camp to celebrate the weekend that parents and friends are invited to attend

Our Fashion courses are led by NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts) experts, each specialising in unique areas, to bring a rounded approach to learning. The programme also includes Italian or English lessons, focusing on strengthening conversation and vocabulary

We look forward to welcoming you to our incredible experience next summer!

My very best regards,

Caterina Filice Summer Camp Director
