NIGHTWISH: ENDLESS FORMS MOST BEAUTIFUL/ Genre: Symphonic Metal /Producer:Tuomas Holopainen / Released: 27 March 2015 Now that Nokia has been sold abroad and everyone’s fed wish album, ending up mimicking his own mannerisms and up with Angry Birds, Nightwish can safely be considered ripping off himself. Songs like “Élan”, “The Eyes of Sharbat the biggest export of Finland. With each passing project the Gula” or the title track, are all beautiful and melodic, as exband’s songwriter Tuomas Holopainen seems to slowly but pected from the band, but nothing really distinguishes them steadily slide down the slippery slope from “quirky auteur” from the material of the seven previous albums, save for the towards the archetypal “megalomaniac mad artist”. This movie has everything: A Cinderella (Anna Kendrick) with commitment issues, a sassy Little Red Riding Hood, corn and a white cow, Christine Baranski, goofy singing Captain Kirk, adultery, simply everything. Unfortunately, it also has singing, as most Disney Musicals do. The songs lyric-wise are not even that bad, neither is the singing - everybody is remarkably able to hit all the right notes, then again Russell Crowe was not in it... What is bad is that every song sounds exactly the same and it would have been a much more enjoyable movie had they just kept the singing out of it. The idea of crossing over all kinds of different fairy tales is not new but since the first Shrek movie they have just gotten worse and this one was almost funny enough, had it not been for the singing.
