The spring semester has already started and only a few and you have only less than 1 minute to catch the attention months left till summer. So, leave out all the clinches and stick to the facts. Focus on the essentials! Write clearly key personal details like a business card, including name, address, phone number, email address and any professional social media presence. As a student or a fresh graduate, you’ve probably been in fulltime education for a long time so your qualifications and degrees should be your main achievement. It would be highly recommended that your qualifications be highlighted in the first place. In case, you don‘t have any work experience, try to address your course work relevant to the skills relevant to the job. For instance, you should elaborate on various skills acquired from college life such as presentation, time management, research, ICT, etc. It would be good to say you are a fast learner and always updated

with the latest techniques and news in the specific industry. Tailor your CV to the position! Sell yourself by presenting your key achievements in study and other experience, not just responsibilities. Exclude work experience or training which is not relevant to the specific position. Don’t just simply tell, give more result-oriented examples to persuade the recruiters, give them the evidences. Before sending out your CV, make sure to adapt your CV to

HOW TO WRITE A GOOD CV suit the position, correspond with the job requirements. Show your assertiveness but don’t artificially inflate it, otherwise you may get caught in the interview. Heighten your strengths according to the specific niches and show them you have the traits of an ideal candidate by presenting your competences clearly and logically. The employers want to know what you can do for them. Show your personality! Choose a decent font and a professional-looking layout. If you are a designer, you should be more creative and personalized your CV the way you like it, for instance using InDe-

sign or video CV, depending on the position you are applying for. The point is that facts should be presented in a clear and appealing way, which reflects part of your personality! That’s the way to stand out! Double check and check again! Do spell check and make sure there is no evitable spelling or grammar mistakes. Have someone else proofread your CV to make sure that the content is clear and easy to
