Green Tea Beauty Tips Being healthy from inside and out have been a question to many people. Today my article will focus on beauty tips that you can apply at home with tea (especially green tea and matcha). Green tea and matcha is suitable for you when choosing an anti-age solution, besides drinking directly, we can also use tea bag/matcha powder to refresh and maintain our beauty.
1. Tips with tea bag: Face wash and steam: place 4 tea bags in boiled water (about 4 cups of water), then sink a towel into it, lie down and place the towel onto your face, wait for 5 minutes and do it again until the water is cool and you have nothing of hot water left. Gently wash your face with water. Reduce eye puffiness and dark circle: there are two ways you can do this trick. First one, use 2 tea bags that are cool down after being brewed, place in onto your eyes, press and let them be there for 15 minutes. Second trick, leave 2 used tea bags in the refrigerator overnight, in the morning put them out and press onto your eyes for 15 minutes. Hair treatment tip: Condensed green tea water mixed with white wine (1 cup of this mixture, half green tea and half wine), put one small spoon of essence, then apply onto your hair. Leave it for 45 minutes and wash your hair with warm water. Do this tip about 2 times a weel.
2. Matcha powder masks Matcha is very popular in Japan, Japanese use this powder to drink, to cook, and to make face masks for beauty. Mask with matcha powder and apple vinegar: simply put the powder into a bowl and mix the vinegar unti condensed mixture, apply the mask onto your face and let it stay there for 10 minutes. Mask with matcha powder, tomatoes and milk: chop the tomatoes and remove seeds, put it in the blender. Mix together with matcha powder and milk until condensed mixture, then apply onto your face for 10 minutes. The masks are for moisturizing your skin, and refresh it. Have a nice day with a nice skin â˜ş. Text: Hong Truong | Photo: Hong Truong

Pop-Up Cat Café
Restaurant Day has probably affected Finnish restaurant culture more than anything else since the new alcohol legislation of 1969 when beer was allowed to be sold in supermarkets. — Paavo Arhinmäki, Minister of Education and Culture (The speech for Finland Prize) Restaurant days are becoming more and more popular it seems. It all started out as a Finnish start-up in 2011 and has since not only earned worldwide acclaim but also won the inventors over one dozen prizes. Since 2011 it has grown into a total of 73 countries and is being celebrated three times a year in February, August and November. If you want to adopt a pet, a cat, a dog, rodent or bird you should at least consider giving a pet from a shelter a chance.
With these pop-up restaurants becoming so popular it is no wonder that on the 21st of November even the local pet shelter in Koria decided open its doors for those interested in spending the afternoon drinking coffee, eating waffles and - most importantly - cuddle some kittens. I mean if there is something that can make any cafe better it is the prospect of getting to pet some cats (unless you’re allergic, I suppose).
You can find more information about what animals are currently residing in Kouvolan seudun eläinsuojeluyhdistys ry either on their website http://www.ksey.net or on their Facebook page or you could just pay them a visit. The address is Puistolantie 9, 45610 Koria.
Naturally not every cat liked to be touched all that much but it was a great way of getting people to come over and support the pet shelter. Maybe it helped getting one or two cats a new home in the near future and if not it certainly helped to raise awareness that there is a pet shelter and that those loveable creatures still look for a new preferably permanent home.
Und the next restaurant day is going to be on Sunday the 21st of February in 2016 in case you feel like opening your own pop-up restaurant. Text:Sarah Rosenthal | Photo: Sarah Rosenthal

Sign of Light or St. Lucia Day еlect a Lucy and her maids among the students and a national Lucу is selected on national tеlevision from regional winners. The regional Lucies are supposed to come to shopping centers, old people‘s houses and churches, singing аnd handing оut gingernut cookies (pepparkakor).
Women are homemakers, they are deity for their husbands, because they bring love and give meaning to life. Once Lucia, a wife of a fish man, saw off her husband to usual sea trip. That day the waves became very strong. The devils kept Lucia’s husband at the sea until darkness and repaid a lighthouse. To let her husband find the land Lucia came to the rock with light. The devils came into a rage and cut Lucia’s head off. Even though she did not leave the rock. Her dead spirit visited it and brought the light to the lost veils. Since then Lucia became a sign of light. To commemorate her people annually make Lucia buns with saffron, drink coffee, and chose one person, who will be Lucia. The selection is made judging by the songs all candidates present. Lucia wears a crown with candles, and is accompanied by her maids, bringing light, joy and warmth to the cold and dark Nordic winter. It is an honor to be the Lucia, to have the opportunity to participate in a beautiful traditional ceremony at the darkest time of the year. In respect to Sweden, where Lucia’s Day is originally celebrated, Finland traditionally solemnizes this event too on the December 13. The national event takes place in Helsinki where approximately 30,000 people attend the crowning ceremony and the parade through the city center. This year the School has decided to celebrate Lucia’s day. It will be held on December 11 at the KYAMK’s lobby at 9am. This year, KYAMK‘s Lucia will be selected among those candidates that have sent their contact information, and a short description of themselves to this Facebook page, or to Swedish lecturer Minna-mari ollikainen@ kyamk.fi.
Luciа prоcession also named сalled „star boys“ fоllows Lucia in the processiоn. Now bоys take pаrt in the cerеmony, playing differеnt Christmas oriented roles. Sоme might wear a white robe, but with a cone-shaped hat decorated with golden stars, called stjärngоssar (star bоys); others put оn „tomtenissar“; and sоme may be drеssed up as gingеrbread men. They participаte in the singing and alsо sing Staffan Stalledräng, which tеlls the story about Christian martyr, caring for his fivе horses. Anоther legend claims that the Lucy celebrаtion evolved from old Swеdish traditions of “star bоys” and white-dressed angеls singing Christmаs carols at diffеrent events during Advent and Christmas. In either case, the currеnt tradition of hаving a white-drеssed woman with cаndles in her hаir appearing on the mоrning of the Lucy Day stаrted in the areа around Vänern in the lаte 18th century and spread slowly to other parts of the cоuntry during the 19th cеntury. PARTICIPATE IN KYAMK’S LUCIA DAY ON THE DECEMBER 11. EVERUONE IS INVIDED. Send your contacts to Minna-mari ollikainen@kyamk.fi. Learn some songs and taste an atmosphere of pre-Christmas Finland. You have a chance to listen to traditional music, taste some glögg and pepparkakor.
Luciа’s day is known as a Festival of Lights. Lucia’s day is celebrated not just in Sweden and Finland. It is held in Italy, Denmark, Norway, Malta, Unitеd Stated and Vеnezuela. Lucia by hеrself comes from Italy. The holiday is tied with Cаtholic and Orthodox churches. Fritz von Dardel originated St. Lucy’s Day 1848. Traditionally the eldest dаughter wearing hеr Lucy garb of white rоbe, red sаsh, and a wire crown covered with whоrtleberry-twigs with nine lighted cаndles fаstened in. The yоung woman awakens the fаmily membеrs, singing Sankta Lucia, giving thеm coffеe and sаffron buns. The mоdern trаdition is a public processions in the Swedish cities. It was started when the newspaper in Stockhоlm elected an official Lucу in 1927. The initiаtive was thеn supported all over the Sweden. Schools –5–

Ankkapurha Winter Experience addition, we have our regular exchange and degree students. This provides an excellent opportunity to meet new people as guest students will only be there during the seminar. This event also consists of social activities organized by participating students. Students arrange couch surfing and other hospitality events for the visitors. As all participants live in Nuorisokeskus Anjala for the seminar duration, additional opportunities are there for other fun social activities. Exciting activities such as rock-climbing and bowling were organized by students in the past. During the project meetings, students also organize different fundraising activities, as the participation fee and funds for social activities is collected by the students themselves. Several fundraising activities such as bakery sales, movie night, christmas carole singing, christmas card and handmade product sales etc. have been conducted or are in the pipeline. If you see these group of hardworking and motivated students, please be generous and supportive as the event is approaching nearer. Text: Jagat Kunwar | Photo: Jagat Kunwar As part of the International Marketing Project course, an event called Ankkapurha Winter Experience (AWE) is organized. The course consists of project activities leading to an intensive 3-4 days AWE seminar. The previous seminar was held during 5-9. 3.2015 and the coming seminar is going to take place during 3-6.12. The purpose of the seminar is to implement services marketing tools to develop services of local businesses while the students live and experience the services in the business premise itself. In that regard, students solve real life problems by collaborating with the focal business. Nuorisokeskus Anjala, a youth centre, is being used as a case situation. The broad goal is also to involve local tourism entrepreneurs and supporting institutions such as Kouvola Innovation (Kinno). Apart from the excellent opportunity for problem-based learning and development of project management skills, it also provides additional opportunity to meet new students from different places. In the last seminar we had 8 students from partner universities in the IB&M network; JadeHochschule, Germany and Universite´Claude Bernard, France. For the upcoming seminar we have 10 students from JadeHoschshule and Stenden, Netherlands. In –6–
Kirsi´s and Sara´s adventures in China Part 3 By now you might have gotten used to it, that when Kirsi and me write about our China experience, it will be about food. Well, I won´t disappoint you this time either. China has a fascinating and rich food culture, where food means a lot more than satisfying a physiological need quickly, like it is often done in Finland.
The order the dishes are served in might seem random, but everything is carefully planned according the Chinese philosophy of aesthetics, harmony of tastes and colours. Rice is served last, because it serves solely the purpose to fill you in the unlikely case you are still hungry after the 25 previous courses. Each person has a small plate and/or bowl in front of him/ her, but mostly you just pick a mouthpiece with your chopsticks from the dish that revolves in front of you and put it straight into your mouth. This requires proficiency with the chopsticks, especially when you are dealing with some weird brown wobbly slippery seafood balls. According to the chopsticks etiquette, you should not stab or skewer food with your chopsticks, but as foreigners we very forgiven in this case. Stay tuned for more China-related stories next year!
Let´s take the shape of the table as an example. In China tables are often round and the food is placed on the revolving part in the centre of the table. Roundness in general is preferred as it symbolizes completeness. You do not order a dish for only yourself, but you order at least 10 different dishes, depending on how many people you are eating with. We attended a business lunch in Jinhua, where 26 different dishes were served in seemingly random order. Meat, fish, some exotic fruits (like huangpi, a sweet brown grape-like fruit) followed by a starchy deep violet coloured soup, tofu, fried veggies, meat and seafood dishes and at very last rice.

GIMBAP – THE “RULLARIISI” Coffe
Gimbap is the traditional fast-food from South Korea. This dish is really popular among students since the ingredients is quite cheap and can be varied depending on your personal taste. Gimbap is very easy to make and much healthier than those fast-food we get in McDonald or Burger King.
Ingredience: 5 sheets of dried seaweed (You can find it in K or S-market) 300g rice 2 teaspoon of sesame oil 1 carrot 1 cucumber 2 eggs 3 sausages (normal size) Please note that the filling inside gimbap is all your choice, you can even replace sausage by smoked salmon for example.
Tools: Rice cooker (If not possible. you can still cook the rice by normal pot)
How to do it: Cook the rice, it should be a little sticky so that it will be easier to roll the rice later on. Add sesame oil and some salt. Cut the carrot, cucumber and sausages into long strips (cut the sausages into 4 pieces). Stir-fry the carrot with little salt. Whisk the eggs, add some salt. Divide the egg mixture into 2 portions and respectively fry into flat omelet with big pan. Then, again, cut the fried egg into long strips. Put the dried seaweed sheet first, then apply the rice until it cover 2/3 the seaweed surface. Put the carrot, cucumber, sausage and egg strips above the rice and then gently but firmly roll. Finally, apply little sesame oil to tape the seaweed sheet and now cut the gimbap into small pieces. Serve gimbap with the mixture of mayonnaise and chili sauce and enjoy the healthiest fast-food dish ever. Enjoy! Text: Khue Do | Photo: Khue Do

KURT COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK: THE HOME RECORDINGS Genre: Alternative/Grunge Producer: Kurt Cobain
Released: November 13th, 2015
Well would you look at that, after two decades of silence rock icon Kurt Cobain, the ex-frontman of the legendary Nirvana, releases his first ever solo album. Many people have been surprised by this new development mainly because mister Cobain has spent the last week decades as a regular member of The Choir Invisible. I don’t think these kinds of posthumous collections unfinished recordings have ever been met with positive reactions, whether it’s Amy Winehouse or Michael Jackson whose grave is being robbed, since it’s almost always unfinished material released without the consent of the artist in question. But the record executives are all too happy to unceremoniously shake the corpse just as long as there is the faintest chance it might drop some loose change. Well, actually, here we are talking about a ‘soundtrack’ accompanying the new documentary of the same name, so there is a partial justification for the release. Partial. Given that along the years there have been several albums worth of previously unreleased material released from the Nirvana vaults, it is not a huge surprise that Montage of Heck is scraping the bottom of the barrel so hard that whatever floor the barrel was placed on probably needs to be remodeled. And boy, does it show: “Reverb Experiment” is exactly what it sounds like; three minutes of the same riff played over and over with slightly shifting amp feedback. The audio quality is inexcusably bad even for a bedroom recording, and Cobain, who has never been very technically capable singer even on the more polished studio recordings, mumbles and wheezes his way through everything like a goat suffering from diphtheria. In the Spotify version many previously released songs like “Been A Son”, “Something in the Way” and “Scoff” have the words ‘Early Demo’ attached to them as a sort of stamp of legal release, a footnote that denotes that the record company is not liable for any damage of traumas caused by listening to your favourite Nirvana deep cuts as terrible, half-finished drafts. It’s sort of like ordering a steak at a restaurant, after which the waiter leads you to the back room, where you are forced to watch the animal being slaughtered and gutted before your eyes. And
there you are, covered in blood and guts of your favourite cash cow, poking a steak on your plate suspiciously with your fork, remembering the sacred animal it once was. Nothing on Montage of Heck is worth one’s money or time. You can get a similar experience with better sound quality by going to the local pub to listen a half-competent troubadour or by finding a street busker, and by giving your money to that guy instead you also avoid supporting this kind of exploitation of dead people. Maybe a person who is a more of a Nirvana fan might get something out of this, but then again, I suspect that person might be even more offended by all this. Text: Roope Sorvo

LEGEND
Kymenlaaksonkatu 1 45700 Kuusankoski 05 3792082 www.studio123.fi
Genre: Drama, Thriller, Crime Director: Brian Helgeland Starring: Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy, Emily Browning, Christopher Eccleston, David
HEVISAURUS|S|0€ Every evening 17:00 |1h25min
Thewlis, Taron Egerton Rating: Legend tells the story of the infamous Kray twins, two of the notorious criminals in English history. The two brothers, the suave and charismatic Reggie (Tom Hardy) and the socially awkward and violent Ronnie (also Hardy), ruled the underworld of East End of London in the 60s. I’m not gonna judge the movie based on historical accuracy, for it is not meant to be a documentary and I don’t really care whether or not the shoelaces in Reggie’s shoes were the right colour. The brightest star of the movie is Tom Hardy, who does an amazing job as these two very different characters, somehow managing to have believable on-screen chemistry with himself; with the help of clever cuts and other technical wizardry seeing one Hardy become two Krays is by far the best thing the movie has to offer. The movie could’ve focused more on the difficult and complex relationship of the brothers, but instead they have to share the spotlight with Emily Browning’s character, who has the unthankful job of being a woman in a crime film: instead of having any perceivable character of her own, she mainly fills the role of the nagging wife, an instant drama device whose only purpose is to complain and argue how his husband has a dangerous occupation and how tiring and stressful it is to live by his side. Why every single police officer and gangster in the history of cinema is married to a person who cannot live with the occupational choices of their spouses? It’s particularly glaring problem because practically everything outside their relationship troubles is so much more interesting and entertaining, whether it’s a violent bar fight, a shady business deal or Ronnie having cake and tea with his mother. This makes the movie drag at times, especially towards the end, which makes the movie feel somewhat longer than its two hour runtime would suggest. Despite the bit uninspired and fumbling romantic plotlines Legend is a pleasant experience. If nothing else, Hardy’s double role is something truly to behold and that alone well worth watching.
