Orchids of Madagascar

HIGHLIGHTS

● An expert and passionate guide ● Carefully selected sites ● A rhythm to allow the search, study and photography of the orchids

For the discovery of orchids, two elements are essential: The place and the season. We propose two distinct periods: February to March and October to November

February and March

are 30 % for Epiphyte Orchids and 70% for Terrestrial Orchids. We will visit rainforests. The sites included are Angavokely, the park of Perinet and its surrounding reserves, and the edge of the forest of the East in Antoetra. We will also visit the park of Ranomafana in the rainforest. October and November

are 70 % for Epiphyte Orchids and 30% for Terrestrial Orchids. We will visit rainforests and savannah areas. The sites included are Anjozorobe, the park of Perinet and its surrounding reserves, and the park of Ranomafana in the rainforest. Further south, we visit the dry region of Isalo and Zombitse.

Two other elements are very important: A very good guide who is knowledgeable and passionate about orchids, and a leisurely pace of travel to allow you to search, study, list and photograph. This specialized tour ensures you to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right people.
