Center of My World (Die Mitte Der Welt) Adapted from Andreas Steinhöfel's bestselling young adult novel, Center of My World chronicles the ups and downs of first love and long-hidden familial secrets. Phil is an out teen living in a small German town with his twin sister Dianne and their free-spirted single mother, Glass. Your average teenager, he spends most of his time with his best friend, riding bikes, going for ice cream and talking about boys. As things heat up with Nicholas, the new kid in school, Phil’s life begins to unravel. Dianne grows increasingly distant and his friendship with Kat becomes strained. To worsen matters, Glass refuses to share the identity of Phil’s American father with her son. With strong performances anchored by Louis Hofmann as Phil, Center of My World is a dreamlike coming-ofage tale that is as quirky and playful as it is emotionally rich and absorbing.
