Scholarship applications due April 13 The member-funded Operation Round Up® program awards scholarships to recent high school graduates each year. The co-op is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 scholarship program. It is available at www.naeci.com/operation-round-up-scholarship and from school counselors. Applicants must submit the typed, completed application by April 13. (If mailing, then the application must be postmarked by April 13.) They also must include a high school transcript and three letters of recommendation. To be eligible for the scholarship program, high school seniors must graduate at the end of the 2020 school year, and their parents or guardians must be NAEC members. Applicants also must have a high school grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale through the first semester of their senior year. The scholarship must be used to attend an accredited institute of higher learning on a full-time basis. For more information, call 870-895-6210 or email info@naeci.com.
Your spare change (about $6 a year) can help recent high school graduates continue their education.
Join Operation Round Up! You allow NAEC to “round up” your bill to the nearest dollar. That money then funds college scholarships.
By enrolling in Operation Round Up®, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative members prove that small change can make a big difference in our communities! Members volunteer to have their monthly electric bill "rounded up" to the nearest dollar. Donations are placed in a trust and administered by an independent board made up of community leaders. The volunteer board evaluates all requests and determines how Operation Round Up monies are distributed. Funds have been awarded as college scholarships, grants to community organizations and disaster assistance. Learn more at www.naeci.com/operation-round-up. 22
