SACRED GROUNDS TATTOO STUDIO

7 E. De Soto St., sacredgroundstattoostudio.com What inspired you to get started? Sacred Grounds Tattoo Studio was born out of necessity when Hula Moon downsized to a new location after 20 years of local dominance. Most of our artists and our piercer worked together there for many years and wanted to develop a new space to continue our craft in a deluxe environment. Now that you're established, what motivates you to keep going? We strive to maintain the highest levels of quality possible, both in shop aesthetics and in our work. Tattooing is a complicated craft, and we make it a priority to fit each client with the artist best suited to execute their desired result. Your happiness is our goal. What's the next goal or project on the horizon for you—personally and/or professionally? We intend to be the first tattoo and piercing studio to expand into the reaches of outer space. Our extraterrestrial friends assure us we are first in line when the time comes. Until then, we'll keep trying to be the best on Earth, as well as the Inter-dimensional Multiverse. SALTER STUDIOS

2464 S. Highway 29, erinosheatattoos.com What inspired you to get started? I started tattooing because someone believed in me. Without that faith, I would never have pursued an art career. More recently, my close friends at Anchor Up Fitness believed in me again and supported my step away from contract work into opening my own business, Salter Studios. Now that you're established, what motivates you to keep going? I am motivated every day by the craft itself. It is a never-ending education, not only about art and color but also into human anatomy, physiology, disorders affecting my clients

and the psychology behind body alterations. What also motivates me is keeping current with health and safety procedures. If you had to define your business with just a tagline, sentence or phrase, what would it be? Community therapy through cooperative creation of meaningful art. What's the next goal or project on the horizon for you—personally and/or professionally? I am currently pursuing further education into color theory as well as mentoring practices that are the most effective to pass onto the next generation of artists.
