The Objective of the in-situ Campaign

Weight of a Word is a campaign that invites people to examine how each words from a parental figure can impact the children’s emotional growth and how it can lead to negative mental health. By collecting personal narratives and transforms it into digital storytelling through illustration, this project aims to generate dialogues and raise awareness on this important issue. In addition, this campaign hopes to encourage young adults to be more brave in telling their experiences in the form of stories so this hopefully can be recognized as an issue in the public sphere.

Audience

Through the span of 10th of March 2021 until 29th April 2021, Weight of a Word garnered a total of 250 followers. With the help of Instagram Analytics, 45.8% of the followers belong to the age group 18-25. 41.9% belongs to 25-34, while 5.4% belongs to 35-44. 83.3% of the followers live in Singapore, 10.8% lives in Indonesia. 80.4% is woman, while the remaining 19.6% is men. Out of 249 followers, there are 15 other Singapore’s mental health advocate pages and 3 counsellors / therapist.
