Gefertec, LLC, the US division of metal Additive Manufacturing company Gefertec GmbH, Berlin, Germany, is to open its first US facility in Danville, Virginia, USA. The new manufacturing facility will initially be based at Danville’s Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR), before moving to a permanent space in Virginia’s Danville/Pittsylvania County area in future. The establishment of the new facility will involve an investment of $1.9 million, and is receiving support from the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission with a $45,000 Tobacco Region Opportunity Fund (TROF) grant, while the Danville Pittsylvania Regional Industrial Facility Authority (RIFA) will cover the
