Axiom Space - Artemis Space Suit Prototypes

3D printed full-scale (30” tall) mockups of various pieces of the Artemis space suits for Axiom’s engineering teams to help test fit and assembly. Axiom leveraged IPL’s unique large-format 3D printers and extensive model-making skillset to achieve these prototypes.
Eigen Control
Simulates the laws of physics to facilitate the design of reservoir engineering, chemical manufacturing, and aerospace design. They also created air quality sensors that the Ion purchased to detect gas leaks within the building.
Paladine Drone
Created a drone for the Spring Branch Police Department that can get to scenes before first responders to gather critical intel.
M.D. Anderson - Knee Surgery Circulation System
Designed and built a prototype device for circulating solution through the knee joint during surgery to help improve recovery. Initial testing and design iteration are ongoing.
PowerHV - IoT
Waterproof Enclosures
Designed, 3D printed, and assembled waterproof enclosures for use with IoT monitoring of off-site assets in industrial applications (oil & gas, utilities, telecommunications). Over 200 devices were produced and are in operation worldwide.
