Ancient Energy Earth

The Delphic Oracle is the genius loci par excellence. Joseph Fontenrose, who spent many years working at Delphi, quotes the phrases used by classical authors to describe the effects produced on people at the Temple of Delphi: pneuma enthousiastika (to be inspired), spirutus (a breathing) and atmos entheos (possessed by a God). Several authors dismissed the possibility of outgassing here, as no fault has been visible over the years, however, very recent work by Dr Jelle de Boer, a geologist from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, has uncovered evidence that corroborates the reports of such writers as Plutarch, who wrote that the exhalations of the Earth came from a chasm below the temple where the Pythia sat to prophesy. De Boer found an active fault to the east and west of the temple, only recently exposed by roadworks. He also found another fault running north to south which intersects this one, below the temple. He reported to a recent meeting of the Geological Society in London that the two faults produce fissures in the rock which can open and close with earthquake movements. Of special interest is the fact that far below the surface lies limestone rock which is rich in hydrocarbons. Such rock strata can release trapped gases, including ethylene, methane and hydrogen sulphide, which travel to the surface through the fissures. If we then add in the extremely low frequency waves in active fault zones, which are in the same frequency bands as natural brainwaves, we have a potent mixture with the ability to bring on hallucinations and affect emotions, and just as effective today as it was then. Phenomena And Faults The following chart shows the scientifically recorded wavelengths due to distant Earth movements. It is not necessary for the movements to be under the area where phenomena manifest, as several factors will affect perceptions, including whether or not the area is on sand or rock and at the end of or in the middle of a fault, as well as the depth and strike (angle) of the disturbances and, last but not least, the mindset of the individual. ---Natural Earth Waves, Known as Body Waves: Types and Wavelengths (Table/Chart) [Insert pic p259 + p260] ---Read now the comments made in 1716 by the Rev. Samuel Wesley and his family after disturbances at Epworth in Lincolnshire and then check his remarks with those in the chart. The Rev. Wesley wrote: 'The door in the yard, the latch whereof was often lifted and the door pushed violently [with] sounds as if several people were walking over our heads.' The sounds were 'as if somebody had emptied a bag of money at my feet' and 'as if all the bottles under the stairs had been dashed into a thousand pieces'. Perhaps most telling of all is 'a noise like the winding up of a jack'. (9) In Colline, Kirkcudbright, in 1695, at a house owned by a certain Andrew Mackie which had long been considered by the local people to be haunted, a variety of effects were seen and reported not only by one cleric, the Rev. Alexander Telfair, minister of the parish, but also by the ministers of Kells, Borg, Carmichael, Parton and Ketta parishes, the Laird of Colline and the Laird of Millhouse. Amongst the phenomena, which began in February and ended in May, metal objects were hurled about, sparks were seen (static discharges?), cattle panicked and escaped their sheds, men were 'pulled off their feet' and metal pothooks and hangers swung of their own volition. It is noted that one outbuilding in particular was affected. It would be interesting to know whether any metal ore body or magnetite was below the ground on this site, now marked as a ruin on the OS map. Remembering that some of the farm workers at Colline were 'pulled off their feet' in 1695, it is interesting to read of the very similar disturbances in 1971 in a military village in northern Brazil. Here brooms leaning against walls spun, flew and fell, bottles with soft drink in them shook and vibrated against the walls of houses, an armchair turned itself file:///G|/Research%20Database/Books/occult+more/ancient_energies_of_the_earth/ancient%20energy%20of%20the%20earth.txt[5/2/2010 5:45:31 PM]
