Whats New There haven’t been any recent dune trips, but that is about to change very soon with trips to Dumont, Anza, and Glamis planned this month.

Dumont September 30 - October 3

IEOA in Florida By Paul Kastle We spent much of the last month getting ready for and spending 10 days at Walt Disney World in Florida. This year our traveling party consisted of 8 people: Me, Melissa, Allie, Marshall, Jim, Nancy, and we were joined by Brandy Tidball and John. Despite our best efforts, we were not thrown out of the park and we all survived 10 days without driving! That is not a typical off roading vacation. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Disney World, it

We are going to get the season off to an early (and FAST) start with our Fall dumont trip the weekend of September 30 - October 3rd.

Anza Spook Run Mike Bacon will once again be hosting the Mona Bacon Memorial Spook Run and Wheenie Roast. Read more on page 3.

October 2016 the strict space limitations they have in Anaheim. There are many different Disney resorts on property, and we stayed at Wilderness Lodge which is similar in style to the Grand Californian, but is a much bigger resort and is situated on the shores of a natural lake with boat access to the Magic Kingdom. The lobby is quite impressive, as shown here:

Upcoming Events • September 30-October 2: Fall Weekend at Dumont. • October 22: Mona Bacon Memorial Poker Run at Anza • October 24-31: Halloween at Glamis, Wash 6. • November 18-28: Thanksgiving at Glamis, Wash 6.

We had a great time exploring the four theme parks for 10 days and eating VERY well. We had such a great time that Brandy, John, and us booked a return trip for next August, so you all will be hearing about Disney stuff for long to come.

Come Play at Dumont We will be heading out to Dumont early this year, over the weekend of September 30 (or 29th if you’re lucky and retired) to October 2nd (for the working folks, some may stay longer.) We will be camping near the main road at the top of the plateau, so you don’t have to worry about soft sand near the dune fingers. Look for Jim’s familiar trailer and Blue over Amber strobe, as well as P.J. and Melissa’s new 38ft Weekend Warrior.

This month we’d like to thank Mike Bacon for contributing a flyer and organizing the spook run. If you have more to share, please write it up and send it in for use in the coming months. The sand season is almost here, so we’d love to hear what you have been doing. Please feel free to write up whatever summer fun or off season preparation you have been up to. We can’t wait to see everybody in the dunes. -Paul, Melissa, Allie, and Marshall.
