THE ROOSTER A monthly update from the Inland Empire Offroad Association

What’s New

Coming Soon: Easter at Glamis

We don’t have any trip reports for this month, but we have one last Glamis trip coming up for Easter and the weekend after.

Dumont is Coming Make your plans now for a season ending fast trip to Dumont. This has become an annual tradition, and the riding has gotten better, and faster each year. We’ll be there May 4-6 this year, so make plans to see what the excitement is about.

Coral Pink Reservations The reservation window is open for individual site reservations for this year’s Coral Pink trip. See more eon page 2.

Since spring has spring and the weather is starting to warm up, it means that the sand season will be coming to a close for most duners. That sounds like a great excuse for one more long trip to Glamis, and Inland Empire Offroad has one on the schedule. We will be at Wash 6 from March 30th through at least April 8th, allowing for a nice long final Glamis trip of the season. For events, we will try to have an Adult Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday April 1st and we will boil Omeletes on Easter Sunday and again on Sunday April 8th.

While the main duning season is winding down, that means for many of us that the trip of the year is getting closer. Individual site reservations are now available, so you can call or go online to get a site if you’d like to join us. This year we will be in the park from Wednesday July11th through Friday July 20th. Once again it appears it will be an all side by side trip, but it is a great area to explore with any vehicle. To make reservations visit: www.utahstateparks.reserveamerica.com and search for Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. There currently are just over half of the sites still available. Check out the pictures below for motivation to make you go for it!

Coral Pink Campground Map

This is a map of the campground at Coral Pink. We will have The Fords, Kastles, Schellingers, and Walt in the Group site, and Mike Bacon has a site nearby. We’d love to have more join us, so now’s the time to make plans to join in on this awesome trip. This month we’d like to thank everyone for their participation in club events this season. While we don’t always have stories to include, we do make sure a newsletter gets out every month to keep everyone updated. If you have anything that you want to share, please send it to me at pkastle@msn.com. We will publish what content we have and a calendar of upcoming events in every month’s newsletter, and we look forward to your contributions to expand it beyond that. -Paul, Melissa, Allie, and Marshall. 3
