STRUCTURE MOVEMENT EXPERIMENTATION SEARCH INTUITION IMBALANCE PROJECTION NEED NON-CONFORMISM SOCIETY AVANT-GARDE … 4/Dimensión A cube within a cube Soaring up and exiting the plane; crossing the folds of an ephemeral membrane in which colour is inexistent; where the geometric represents the infinite and the infinite nothingness… Where beings have no shape and vision is uniform from any viewpoint... This is why the flaps are duplicated and the cubes are folded back to form capelines and detachable layers... The trousers sever their pockets and the sleeves unfold their length... Cold wools, crepes, sailcloth, felt and neutral hues with a predominance of black are the elements that reinforce a four-dimensional concept. Starting out from the Fourth Dimension as an additional space and not as a temporal dimension (as reflected in the Theory of Relativity), I have taken the most representative elements at graphic and theoretical level that have allowed me to take this concept to the sphere of fashion. The graphic elements that have shaped the collection are: The hypercube and its unfolding, the black holes or worm holes, the spatial membranes, the kaleidoscope... Moreover, from the point of view of cubism I have sought to reflect the Fourth Dimension by representing 1 object “as it is” and not as we perceive it; that is, from

any viewpoint. At the same time I incorporate movement, as this is a viewing technique of the Fourth Dimension; this movement is known as photodynamism. Shape 01 Concave/convex shape Shape on shape Relative shape Absolute shape Shapeless shape Shapes superposed on a base from which one departs without a specific purpose, simply from the point of view of the observed object and the effect it causes on the spectator, who at first glance does not perceive the whole but rather its appearance and the relationship it establishes with the rest of the objects that surround it. This leads to the superposed shape being relegated to the background and becoming part of the whole. Structural shift in space and time Collision of particles that, when entering another virtual reality, abandon their original shape to form a new structure. The garment changes its state to result in the formal breakup of each one of the parts that comprise it. Manifesto of shifted structures: 1. The entire structure shifts in a specific space time. 2. The arrangement of the factors does not change the product, but it does change the result. 3. The formal breakup of the original state translates into shift. 4. Any shift gives rise to a new perspective. LUCAS MUÑOZ Lucas Muñoz, together with David Tama-

me, founded the eStudio enPieza! in the spring of 2006. The two industrial designers placed their creativity and knowhow on the table to embark on a joint professional career that has produced pieces and objects of indisputable international renown. The establishment of this studio allowed them to realise their ideas on objects through experimentation, learning along the way the working techniques required for noble materials such as wood and metal and making of them their tools for creation. It is this, together with their foregoing professional trajectory and their knowledge of the design methodology derived from their higher studies, that allowed them to grow a different creative project: one more closely linked to today’s society and one that harks back to working directly with pieces (DIY), more detached from the conditioning factors of industry and the market. Ever since, enPieza! has participated in fairs, conferences and exhibitions worldwide, transmitting its message of artisan work and creative design that generates products with a concept-charged image. Its creations have formed part of important exhibitions that raised this studio’s creativity as a standard for the new generation of Spanish design. It was in 2008 when enPieza! expanded its component parts, with Stephanie Maurey and Alejandro Delgado joining the studio. They are industrial designers and contribute new concepts and decisive abilities to the formula of this creative team. With this new combination and from this moment onwards, the productions of enPieza! have become increasingly complex and ambitious while polishing the studio’s style in a quest for simplicity in their techniques and in the freshness of their ideas.

As the media have already recognised, today enPieza! is one of the Spanish studios representing the most innovative values in this country’s creativity. Thus, in keeping with their philosophy, it is curiosity that leads them to embark on their objects. Curiosity to see them grow, to employ their skills in the enjoyment of finding solutions and bringing them to life in an efficient manner. It is a process that leads them to eagerly become involved in the full development: from inception to maturation to the moment when they are ready to be let loose on the world. This is why these objects are made with a thoroughness that requires tests, drawings, plans and models. They create a close tie between the piece and themselves, its designers. A tie that makes them be far more demanding towards it. Always seeking to pay attention to a small detail, an ingenious solution or a conceptual wink that makes it more personal and charismatic, that transforms it into something that firmly expresses itself in their stead. Honest as an object, healthy, trustworthy, that is to say, one that lasts over time and leaves no damage in its wake. Attuaire Acondicionado (Attuaire Air Conditioner Concealing Screen) Global project encompassing product design, production (joint Chinese-Spanish), corporate image, creation of the legal entity for commercialising it and finally the launch of a totally innovative product, a screen to conceal air conditioning devices on facades.
