INTRODUCTION

01 Infrastructure Middle East is the region’s first monthly Business-to-Government (B2G) magazine focusing on the building blocks of a modern economy: its critical infrastructure. While B2G, the magazine keenly covers B2B issues, as well. Power plants; oil refineries; water treatment facilities; and air, road and rail transport systems are known as critical infrastructure because they are essential to the health, safety, security and economic well-being of a country. Our content, with its focus on policy briefs, news analyses, products and service information, is tailored towards policy makers, planners, regulators, business leaders and innovators responsible for developing, designing, delivering and operating the region’s critical infrastructure. Infrastructure Middle East informs about the opportunities arising from the infrastructure-led national agendas of countries in the region, the top priorities being economic diversification and a better quality of life for their people.

POWER TECHNOLOGY

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES

EGYPT SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT

Two sectors that are relatively insulated from the vagaries of economic cycles from a demand standpoint are electricity and water. Our annual Power Technology supplement looks at solutions and strategies that can help surmount the challenges in terms of ensuring reliable supply of electricity.

Construction lies at the core of infrastructure development. Without the construction industry as a stakeholder, infrastructure would remain mere designs on paper. Our CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES special is positioned as a cutting edge technical resource for construction professionals involved in delivering infrastructure projects. Whether it is CAD or FEA, formwork or geosynthetics, modular construction or prefab, sensors or GIS, the report will highlight technologies – soft and hard – transforming construction of power, oil and gas, transportation, hospitals, educational, and industrial facilities. It will feature technology features, case studies, market reports and interviews.

The largest requirement for power in 2016 in the MENA region will be in Egypt. An estimated 27,985 MW of new capacity is needed as a result of its fast growing population. Furthermore Egypt plans to procure 54GW of generation capacity by 2022 as part of the wider energy strategy, which includes targets to diversify fuel supply including oil and gas power generation plans, coal-fire power facilities and nuclear. This supplement will look at all aspects of infrastructure development plans: transportation, construction, energy and power.

With its mix of technical features, case studies, product profiles and interviews, the report is targeted at a readership from construction, utilities, manufacturing and service industries.

THE ENERGY REPORT

SMART TRANSPORTATION

A much-awaited annual fixture, The Energy Report analyses the most valuable industry in the region from a critical infrastructure point of view. The content is a balanced mix of stateof-the-industry reports, features on technical innovations and interviews with industry captains.

Connectedness and automation will have an immense impact on how the governments efficiently manage the flow of people and trade across transportation networks. In cities, for example, smartphones and the ability to interconnect infrastructure within cities to drivers and pedestrians is helping the development of smart, flexible and multi-modal transportation systems. This report will focus on various aspects of urban mobility in terms of electric vehicles, smart parking, intelligent transportation systems and other innovations in transportation infrastructure.

INFRASTRUCTURE MIDDLE EAST AWARDS

RoundTable Discussions

Dubai, UAE | November 2016

Roundtables offer the opportunity to engage clients in a controlled environment to discuss current topics and understand the issues the industry is facing so the sponsor can offer a bespoke solution after the roundtable. We would recommend the total number to be no more than 10 participants to allow maximum engagement.

A black-tie, gala dinner event, the objective of the Infrastructure Middle East Awards is to recognise merit across the multi-disciplinary infrastructure sector. The awards process is audited by a third party auditing firm.

CPI would organise the venue, invite the required participants and have an Editor chair the roundtable. The discussions would be covered in the subsequent edition of Infrastructure Middle East and on InfrastructureME.com
