Learning the Leading
Senior
The 2012 Year 11 Retreat, held in July, marked an important moment in the leadership journey for the 2013 Senior Leaders. The three days of reflection, challenge and formation of a collective leadership direction certainly became a highlight of 2012, and set the scene for a fabulous year ahead with our newest leaders. Still staged in three phases, the leadership program’s steps of COMMISUM [to understand and undertake what is entrusted] and CREO VISIO [to create a vision] have brought the girls to the final stage, which remains in place now – ADAUGEO [to make greater, to increase]. The girls began their leadership work in Term IV, in an area of College life which is to be their primary focus in 2013. Forming the following Leadership Committees early in this final term, the girls clearly set in place the focus, vision and open minds that will surely bring about a year of distinction in leadership at Fairholme. 2013 Leadership Committees: Communication Environment Junior School Middle School Pastoral Care Restorative Practice Teaching & Learning, Technology.

‘20-one-3: find your key’ The motto of the Seniors of 2013 is a call of encouragement to unlock potential, form and follow goals and discover new skills and passions! A singing, dancing spectacular, the launch saw the Seniors in full, vibrant flight as they encouraged their fellow students to believe in themselves, dream and work to make their dreams a reality. We look forward to the work the Seniors have planned for us all, with this year’s motto in mind.
