Voice of the Future Award Nominee

Our 2022/2023 Ambassador, Amelia, who was born with bilateral hearing loss plays Arabella in the lead role in ’14 in February’ which will premiere in Sydney Film Festival next week

2023 has been so dancers in WA After Eastern States I had Sydney for the Teen Dream Creative. Incredible choreographers, dancers and people and I’m always so grateful to Marko Panzic for the opportunities he gives us That was followed by a full week at Brent St doing workshops after winning a scholarship when they came to Perth

Once the dance year started at our studio Gail Meade Performing Arts it was so busy but amazing to be back I am loving taking on a lot more choreography and solos for younger students

In April I competed at West Coast Dance Festival winning the Theatrical Championship and overall Senior choreographer of the festival for my contemporary That was very quickly followed by my all time favourite Get the Beat regional where I won the Senior Aggregate Award for my solos and was selected for Dream Junior at National Finals

We are so lucky to have Tasmanian Dance Expo come to Perth and I absolutely loved the workshops. I was lucky enough to win overall Senior soloists and a scholarship to The Stephen Tannos collective in July that will be an amazing experience.

Most recently we had Dance Quest State Championships, another of my favourites. I was grateful to win all my solos amongst amazing talent and make the Senior Finals.

I am very much looking forward to Australia Dance Festival in September and dancing with Dream Creative as a part of the Dream Dance Company show I am also so lucky to be able to travel to GTB National finals with a family from my studio to be there with my students, compete and dance with Dream Junior

After GTB Nationals last year I was honoured to be chosen for Team Australia to travel to KAR National Finals in California

I will always be so grateful for Shannon and Felicity’s support and the opportunity Unfortunately we were unable to go and although very disappointed as dancing in America is a dream of mine I have so much to look forward to and hope the opportunity will come up again
