Where do you reside? Currently, I’m living in Los Angeles, California. I’ve been here for about a month now, so I’m still getting used to it, but it’s overall a lovely place to be. Where are you from? I’m from Chicago, Illinois. I lived there for basically my entire life, until I was 22 before moving on for school in both New York and Los Angeles. What age were you when you began Acting? I was 4 years old. Nothing I can remember, but there’s video footage out there somewhere on a floppy disk or VHS. Wow, that’s pretty young. Do you remember Acting at such a young age? The only thing I can remember is when I was 6, I was in an Indie movie Clean Heart, portraying young Zachery. I recall filming in our home, acting natural and pretty much doing what I was told. I guess that’s why I can take direction so well. What was that first production and what was your role? Single Parent was what I was told. I can’t remember the character name I played but hey, it’s a free credit. How did you get your start? In film, my mother produced her own screenplays. I was given the opportunity to be involved in some really cool things. In theatre, my high school production of the musical Honk. I had a friend who begged me to audition with her and of course having the “flutters” for this friend, I went ahead and did it, not realizing I was good enough to play a second lead in this musical. At what age did you realize Acting was the path you wanted to go into? I was definitely 14 years old. At first, I wasn’t excited about making it my career, but when I was on stage acting, singing and dancing, that’s when I realized musical theatre was my life’s passion. What type of Acting jobs have you held in the past? Being that acting is really one thing in itself, there’s not many types of jobs, however, I’ve been in many genres of productions from drama, comedy, web series, stage productions, stage in the park productions, etc. For Bookings, email me at: kendalldevinbell1@gmail.com . In chronical order, which would you prefer to get booked on the most? Television film, stage play musicals. Musicals is definitely number 1 because there’s nothing more amazing than a musical. Number 2 would be film because that’s where the money is. Just remember, film is where celebrities get their money. Stage is where celebrities get great memories that’ll last a lifetime. 3 would be stage play because I enjoy being able to do a show fully without stopping for cuts every 5 lines. Last would be television, it’s also money! (laughs)

Which was your favorite and least favorite production and why? My favorite production thus far was doing Shakespeare in the Park. Being able to be around such amazing people for only 2 months and feel I gained friendships to last a lifetime was a great feeling. I experienced new things I never thought I’d experience, ever! And I feel ten times better an actor going out than I did going in. My least favorite has to be anything pertaining to doing “extra” work. I don’t feel I’m given the ability to show my true potential as an actor, standing behind 10 people or walking past a scene that I’m super blurry in. Now, I’m not going to knock extra work because it’s money, but background on stage compensation is higher than extras in film, not to mention the work is consistent. Also, you’re guaranteed to be seen. Who inspired you to become an Actor? A long list of people: Tim Curry, Jason Alexander, Denzel Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah, Tracie Thoms, Nipsey Russel, Ted Ross, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters, Angela Bassett. I mean this list can go on and on and on, because every time I do a show, I channel at least 5 of these people into one character. No matter, male or female, that doesn’t define the type of actor I am. What production made you say, that’s it, this is the career for me?. Performing in Honk the Musical. I’ve seen musicals but I’ve performed in one. I adored doing that show and it really put me in that mind set that acting, singing and dancing is all for me. Have you had the opportunity to work with a famous Actors and/or Producers? I haven’t really worked side by side with any. I’ve been around a few during productions I was an extra with a few such as Harry Lenox, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Tika Sumpter, however, I never truly worked with a famous actor. Who is your favorite Actor & Actress? That’s like asking a chef what his favorite spice is! If I have to pick one, I’d say Robert Downey Jr., right now is my favorite actor. His portrayal of Iron Man all these years really amaze me. I love the sarcasm. Who is that one Actor or Actress you must work with? Tracie Thoms hands down! I will not retire until I work with that talented woman. I don’t care if I just open a door and say “Delivery!”, I have to work with her! 35

Who gave you that big break in mainstream? Spike Lee. I say he started that for me. When I was upgraded in the Chiraq production that really opened doors for me. Now it’s just a matter of taking that leap through those doors. He’s looking directly at you! Where do you hope to see yourself in the next 5 years? I know I’ll be either on Broadway, starring in my first or third Broadway musical or cast in a Blockbuster that’s going to push me further in my career. Did you receive any training or education in acting? Yes, from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. I couldn’t have asked to go anywhere better. I dreamed of going there for a long time, it took me 5 auditions within 6 years before finally getting accepted and I am glad I kept going. Acting is limited, would you consider yourself more of a Performer or Entertainer? Entertainer of course. I honestly don’t do this because of the money (laughs) I truly love entertaining people. The reactions and the excitement I see before, during and after every performance is what drives me every single day to keep going. Acting and Sports can often work hand in hand. Do you play any sports? I do. I am a Professional Wrestling. The average joe would say “That’s not a sport!” and I say who cares, I’m getting tossed around, running back and forth all for a title. Isn’t that the same as football?

Is there a Mentor, Coach or Instructor who was a positive impact on you getting to where you are today? Diane Ciesla, she was one of the greatest acting teachers I’ve ever had, and she was a wonderful one, too. She’s the one who made me the actor I am today and she’s a native Chicagoan. Who are your biggest fans/supporters? My close family and friends of course. I can always depend on them all, especially to make me feel like a better actor than I claim myself to be. 36

Out of ALL of your performances in movies, television, stage or other areas, which was your favorite? Which can you say is a Fan Fav? My favorite was definitely performing at AMDA in New York City, performing a cover of I’ll Cover You (Reprise). Looking out into the audience and seeing all those tears, all because of my singing passionately about one of my favorite musical numbers, it showed me how much of an affect I really have on people and I do believe that’s a fan favorite.

Having seen you perform this musical number Live, I must agree, it was powerful! How can your fans keep up with you?
