If the economics of photography would permit it would be a delight to create all those 'other' images that can be seen yet still await a suitable brief for execution. I have experience in the Automotive, Chemical, Oil, Electronic, Rail, Construction, Manufacturing, Steel and most other industries that you care to mention. With unfamiliar processes I love the site visit where every nut and bolt of a process is described like the expectations for a new born child and precision engineering is happenning at 100 miles an hour (all parameters accounted for). I shoot UK and Europe up to now, although my skills are readily transportable.

Although my intention exceeds 'pure' documentation, my design always focuses on the photographed object. I created extensive documentations about the 'rust belt' and anthracite mines in Pennsylvania (1992), the Krupp coke works in Rheinhausen (2001), the Tertre coke works (2002) and the Beringen colliery (2003), to name just a few examples. My strong background on industrial history and historic technologies allows the creation of images, which are different from photographs taken from a pure asthetical perspective. Technically, I use to work with analog medium and large format cameras.
