Sydney, December 6 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The Australia India Business Council (AIBC) facilitated the roundtable hosted by Consul General of India, Sydney, for Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of National Stock Exchange (NSE) India on his recent visit to Australia.

NSE India is India's most premier and the largest stock exchange and also one of the largest in the world. Ashish Chauhan gave some insights into the scale of opportunities and the returns which NSE India has notched up for foreign investors during the last decade.

Australian business, financial services and asset management leaders were particularly enthused with Chauhan's invitation for dual listing, both for companies seeking to enter India via NSE India or the GIFT City.

In addition, he also highlighted the opportunities for Indian companies to list in Australia with dual listing and the potential for market entry for bilateral businesses.

There was also a discussion on the range of technology and digital infrastructure adopted in India both in government and non-government. NSE India has been one of the first to introduce digital technologies to the market and has introduced several measures for governance and best practices.
