Brisbane, July 13 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

In a show of solidarity, the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) has extended its gratitude to Merciful Servants Au and the wider Indian community for their support in a recent winter relief initiative.

FICQ collaborated with Merciful Servants Au to distribute blankets to those experiencing hardship during the cold season.

The success of the drive, FICQ noted, was made possible by the collective efforts and generous contributions of its member organisations and community supporters.

Among those who played a key role in the initiative were Bhartiya Samaj, Gujarati Association of Queensland (GAQ), Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) Gold Coast Inc., Gold Coast Sikh Association, Sargam Music Academy, and the North Queensland Hindu Community Inc. Their support helped extend warmth and care to vulnerable individuals in need.

FICQ praised the spirit of compassion and community service that continues to define Queensland’s Indian diaspora and reiterated its commitment to future partnerships aimed at helping those most in need.
