Rajasthan revived at Gangaur mela

Rajasthani Kutumb of Victoria (RAJKOV) celebrated this year’s Gangaur mela on April 25 at Hawthorn Town Hall, Hawthorn. This year, the mela was a huge success. The weather was excellent and more than a thousand people turned up for the event. The Mela was inaugurated through lighting of the auspicious lamp by Councillor Jack Wegman, audience mesmerized. The programme also included a Safa (Turban) Tying workshop and a Mehndi (Henna) workshop and competition.
