Ourcampcommunityisheartbrokenaswe’vewatchedthecatastrophic floodingunfoldoverthelastweek.Thedestruction,theloss,andthesheer emotionalweightofwhatsomanyfamilies,friends,andcommunitiesare experiencingrightnowhasleftusshaken.It’simpossiblenottofeelthepain ofthoseaffected,whethernearorfar.Asaplacerootedinconnection, compassion,andcare,weextendourdeepestloveandsupporttoeveryone navigatingtheaftermathofthisdisaster.
AsweenterthesecondhalfofourfifthsummerhereatMorgan’sCamp,we feelarenewedsenseofgratitudeforthesafetyofourowncampersand staff,fortheprivilegeofdoingthiswork,andforthelargercampcommunity acrosstheglobe.Beingpartofacampcommunitymeansmorethan traversingaropescourseorridingahorse.Itmeansholdingspaceforjoy andgrowth,beingasteadypresenceforothers,andsteppingupintimesof hardship.Thisjobis,withoutadoubt,oneofthebestintheworld,butit’salso oneofdeepresponsibility.Thisresponsibilitycarriessuchweightforbothour dailylivesatourowncamp,andforthecareofothercampsfarandwide.In timeslikethese,weareremindedwhywedoit.

Morgan’sMACisthrilledtoshareupdatesonourrecentconstructionandfacility enhancementstobetterserveourcommunity.
Morgan'sMAChassuccessfullycompletedandisnowoperatingitsAmbulatory SurgeryCenter(ASC)inpartnershipwithUniversityHealth.Thisstate-of-the-art facilityprovidesinclusivesurgicalservicesforadultsandpediatricpatients, coveringorthopedic,general,ENT,ophthalmology,anddentalprocedures.Todate, theteamatUniversityHealthhascompletedover115out-patientsurgeries.
Additionally,BlueSprigPediatricsisexpandingtothe2ndfloortodoubletheironsitecapacitytoserveyouthwithautism.Uponthethirdfloor,CHRISTUSChildren's hasmovedinto6,000sqftandnowoffersexpandedphysical,occupational,and speechtherapyservices.Similarly,thePracticeWithoutPressure(PWP)suite remainsanestablishedprogramforhealthcareconfidence-buildingandisready toserveourMACMembersintheirremodeledsuiteonthe3rdfloor.
