History of the Czech I nve s t m e n t C a s t i n g Association The Investment Casting Association has its roots in the work of the Technical Corporation of Investment Foundries and the Specialized Commission of Investment Foundries at the Scientific and Technical Society that actively worked in the former Czechoslovakia till 1990. After the communist regime fall a question originated how to continue working in the market economy. A question was solved if the activities will be done under the umbrella of some other superior organization as previously or as an independent subject self-managing the intellectual and tangible property potential. After the heated discussions at the last common meeting of the Technical Corporation of Investment Foundries and the Specialized Commission of Investment Foundries at the Scientific and Technical Society on autumn 1990 in Kdyně it was decided by a common voting of a majority of attendants to found an independent organization. And so a founding meeting was held on the 7th February 1991 in Brno where the Investment Casting Association was born and for which a by-laws draft was prepared by Mr. Homolka and Mr. Pavelka. In the beginnings a main question was solved how will be developed the collaboration in the market economy but the experience has shown that contacts between all members in the former Czechoslovak Republic and contacts with foreign partners are needed also in the competitive fight. At that time the negotiations proceeded about incorporation in the Association of Foundries of the Czech Republic on meetings of its management. The Association of Foundries of the Czech Republic contemplated to roof all activities relating to the foundry branch but it offered only such conditions that the investment casting had under the umbrella of the Specialized Commission of Investment Foundries at the Scientific and Technical Society. Therefore it was decided to work independently. The work method was adapted to conditions and later on when the Czechoslovak

Josef Sedlák, CSc., a Ing. Luděk Jankůj. Dále byla navržena a schválena revizní komise ve složení: – předseda – p. Petr Čunda, – členové – Ing. Ladislav Tomek a Ing.
