CODY
A Long Time Coming BY JOHN CODY And I said, “Today’s The Day!” And Tomorrow, I did nothing. Such is, A Brain of thoughts, but no action. A Mouth of words, but no speech. A pair of Ears, in constant ignorance. A Soul.
Nascent.
Oriented? Conflicted.
Unsure?
All is, A Mind, an incestuous circle. A cyclical chamber of Doubt, Guilt, Grief, Fear, Regret, Apathy, Contradictory Pride. — Ego. — Self-fulfilled Comeuppance. And I said, “Today’s The Day!” And Tomorrow, was a long time coming.
