When the conversation was over, you went back to your area and then left the building without telling anyone where you were going. According to Davis Construction Company’s policy on absences, employees who will be absent must notify their superior during the first halfhour of each working day. Because we have not heard from you for the last seven days, and have been unable to reach you, your employment at Davis Construction Company is considered terminated. You will receive one month’s severance pay. All of the stock you have purchased through the employee stock ownership plan will be disbursed to you. Please contact Muriel Viewton in the personnel department to make arrangements. Sincerely,
