Our county boasts a wide variety of spectacular landscapes, from the cliffs and beaches on Dorset’s historic coastline, its chalk downs and limestone hills, heathland and vales, to its picture postcard towns and villages and other ancient settlements.

In “Dorset in Pictures”, photographer Matthew Pinner takes a fresh look at Dorset, capturing the huge variety of scenery, natural and man-made, that makes Dorset special. For those of us who live in the county and for its many thousands of visitors, this book captures some of the most iconic scenes perfectly. Here’s a selection of photographs from our own area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole but also a few further afield.
