Research Training Support Grants Short course fees
Fee income is shown net of discounts and fees remitted. Research training support grants include £5.0 million (2017: £3.9 million) of tuition fees paid in respect of full-time home and European Union students. The remainder represents grants made by Research Councils and other bodies in support of the training of research students. Total numbers of full-time and part-time students are 18,415 in 2018 and 17,566 in 2017 (excluding those on research training support grants and short courses).
