Goa has been for a very long time that I can recall of, a haven for tourists all round the world, international and locales of India have this inclination of spending their holidays in this one of the most happening places of India, Goa has indeed a very exotic yet homely feel to it and that is probably why we see such a massive convergence of travellers at this very spot in India. One of the many yet best beaches in Goa is Baga beach which is one of the most visited tourist spots in Goa in particular and India in general.
The all- famous Baga beach has a very strategic and convenient location between two other beautiful beaches, lying just one or two Kilometres to its south is the famous Calangute beach and heading towards its North is the beautiful and celebrated Anjuna beach, giving the tourists an added advantage and perk of visiting these two beaches at great convenience which makes the two aforementioned adjacent beaches some of the best places to visit near Baga beach.
Before we make a list of places to visit near Baga beach let us explore this beach which is a world in itself that even an enclosed and exclusive stay at the beach would be as fulfilling, thrilling and a great wholesome holiday package. What you could ideally do at the beach which I personally suggest first is to spend a night sleeping on the sandy golden beaches where fresh air, the twinkling stars and the cool waters make for an awesome threesome besides your own personal company. The beach is a hub of exhilarating activities in itself, there is so much do it, such as boating, water sporting, fishing, wind -surfing, kite-surfing, dolphin spotting and yes getting that lovely tan by sunbathing! The holidays just at the beach would be more than exciting! And don’t worry about the hotels, the beach has plenty to offer in terms of accommodation, hotels ranging from low medium to high.
So let us get back to the point; places to visit near Baga beach: well as mentioned above two of the most happening beaches of Goa are neighbours of this beach, so you may just hop in these two beaches for a day or two, they are reasonably distanced. Apart from that shopaholics should drop in at the flea markets, Anjuna flea market is put up every Wednesday and trust me it’s a paradise for shopaholics, you must also drop in at the famous replica of Bangkok’s Saturday night bazar at Arpora. Aguada fort is another one of the best places to visit near Baga beach, it is a Portuguese architectural excellence, a fort in the colonial times of Goa which was used as a defence mechanism against the Marathas and the Dutch.
