We’re already hearing of great news from Land Rover with 2013 having been a record sales year and here at Hillendale we delivered 426 new cars during the year. As ever, we are grateful to our many loyal customers for their never ending support and of course to the wonderful team here which as you will notice has grown further to keep pace with this demand. Whilst we have been growing our business with Hillendale Jaguar Bolton, we have also been working tirelessly to maintain our reputation for customer service, once again winning the Regional Customer Care award for After Sales in 2013. We take great pride in ensuring our customers are offered a level of service that is unprecedented, giving you the confidence that we will look after you in a way befitting of the premium brands we represent. This edition of Trailblazer shares news of the exciting new model line-up with the launch of Range Rover & Range Rover Sport Hybrid later in the year and the Range Rover Long wheelbase; both of which will continue to deliver class leading luxury and capability. We also have the 2014 Discovery bringing with it significant updates to both the exterior and interior. YOUNG CARERS With fun filled demonstrations by Flash Bang Science at this year’s Christmas party, added to our annual Pantomime tradition of providing the Young Carers with a Christmas trip to Pizza Hut and then onto the Pantomime in Manchester, we’ve been busy yet again providing that Christmas cheer. It’s also our pleasure to announce that Hillendale will be funding a part-time support worker over the next 12 months as they look to provide additional support, information and much more to Carers in Burnley, Pendle & Rossendale.
LANCASHIRE TELEGRAPH BUSINESS AWARDS Hillendale Group were the main sponsors of the Lancashire Telegraph Business Awards in late November with a display of Land Rover and Jaguar vehicles at the Awards ceremony. The winners of eleven award categories covering every facet of business achievement and enterprise were announced at a glittering ceremony held at Ewood Park, Blackburn. WE’VE BEEN BUSY PROVIDING CHRISTMAS CHEER As you would expect from the Hillendale Group, as we approached the festive season we wanted to once again do as much as possible to help make Christmas a little bit better for those less fortunate then ourselves. The response to our Christmas appeal was overwhelming.
WOMENS REFUGE Having offered our support to the Women’s refuge in Nelson over the course of the year, we couldn’t have been more pleased to extend a helping hand over the Christmas period. As a company we decided to provide specific items as required by the refuge as well as asking our staff, friends, customers and supporters to join us by buying a Christmas present for a child or their mother who would be spending the festive season in a Refuge.
FOOD BANK Supporting local Councillor, Eileen Ansar in her efforts to increase donations to the local food bank in Nelson, we set up a collection box calling for staff and customers alike to donate any imperishable foods to the dealership to add to a substantial donation from Hillendale. With staff input and an evening of preparing food parcels, over 50 boxes of tins, dried pasta, rice, canned meat and soups were all gratefully received and distributed to the local food bank who ensured us they would reach a good home. We hope our efforts made the Christmas celebrations a little better for some families and hope to continue our support of the local food bank in the future.
