Building upon the success of the past year, which saw Medina County ranked as the top county in the state on the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Report Cards, our schools continue to provide excellent learning environments for all students. With strong community and business partnerships across the county, all Medina County school districts have opportunities to connect learning outside the classroom to make it more meaningful and engaging. From job fairs to classroom experiences provided by industry experts to hands-on learning, students of all ages are connecting content to real-world applications more than ever before. The Medina County Career Center is no exception to this, leading the charge in preparing our students for the workforce and regularly securing top job placements for students both locally and beyond.  

While we know a thriving workforce is an essential part of a successful community, Medina County Schools don’t stop there. Opportunities abound in innovative academic programs and clubs, music and art outlets, performances, and publications, as well as top-notch athletic programs. Supporting those programs are some of the best educators you’ll find anywhere — each year we receive numerous applications for the Medina County Teacher of Excellence Recognition and are continually amazed at what educators across all grade levels are achieving in their classrooms, all in the pursuit of excellence for their students. We also see the top students every year from each school in Medina County recognized at the Top Scholar Program, and are blown away by how engaged these students are in both their academics and their school and community. Long gone are the days of students engaging in a few things just to pad their college applications or resume — these students balance more than many adults do in their daily lives and do it with passion and energy that only a child can muster.
