KAMIYADA+

10 Questions w/ Kamiyada+

1. Thank you for taking some time to be interviewed by our independent publication. It’s greatly appreciated. Jumping right in. When did your journey in music start? Who got you into this wave? How did you learn how to record yourself?

Music has always been a part of my life from a young age, just from hearing my folks play shit around me that I liked early on. I didn’t start taking it seriously until 2014 when I bought my own setup, and everything from then on was self-taught.

2. Who gets bragging rights for helping you get to where you are now? Who were your biggest supporters/comrades in

the come-up.

Bragging rights go to manifestation, fate, the universe, & the family and friends who believed in me the whole way through. Especially my brothers in Midnight Society.

3. What’s going on with the Midnight Society? Is the collective going to make a play together at any point?

Midnight Society is alive and well, we’ve spent the past few years doing our own solo missions but we’re pulling it all back in for a project we plan to release this year called “Night Mode”

4. What does Kamiyada+ have in store for us later this year? Any new music releases, visuals, or tours we can plug in this interview?

As far as my releases I have music of many different gen-

10 Questions w/ Kamiyada+ res that I’m sitting on, and I plan to roll it all out monthly starting with this Kill The Space God 2 project.

5. What about beyond 2023? What are your long-term goals. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

My future goals always consist of growth and becoming a better me all around. Striving to evolve as an artist and a human daily.

6. With an interest in who your influences are, if you went on a headlining tour and could pick anyone to be on the lineup with you, dead or alive, who would you choose? What’s your dream tour?

Dream tour would be Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Layne Staley era alice in chains, Type O negative, too many I could go on forever.

7. You toured Japan! What was that like?! Where else in the world would you like your music to take you?

Japan is always a safe haven for me and the guys. We love it there and it’s always the best time playing sold out

shows there and tapping in with the friends we have on that side. Definitely looking to do more in Asia as well as Europe this year.

8. If you could go back in time and give yourself some advice, what would it be?

I’d tell myself to worry more about my personal interests instead of trying to please others.

9. Who are some of your favorite producers to work with and why?

ZCR is always a pleasure to work with, he knows my sound well. Dutchman & Virus are like the back bones of my sound coming into this shit, and then newer people i’ve met like my mentor & best friend Tim Randolphe who’s been handling production on most of my newer tracks.

10. As we wrap this up, I just want to say thank you again. And is there anything else you would like our readers to know?

If you love something give it your all.

Midnight Society is alive and well, we’ve spent the past few years doing our own solo missions but we’re pulling it all back in for a project we plan to release this year called “Night Mode”

SHINIGAMI SINGLE REVIEW

Shinigami | Music Review Conducted By Brett Deadly

I hope you aren’t tired of hearing those aggressive cowbell samples yet because we got another one for you. But this one takes a step back into the more Trapmetal realm even if technically this would be considered Aggressive Phonk. Phil The Void, Aliester, and Nxxses have come together on a massive new collaborative track titled Shinigami. The vocals in this song are huge, and evil. Full of raw energy and power. There was one verse performance that was lacking a bit but the other artists on the track picked up the slack. Major credits go out to

the producer who did a phenomenal job on this beat. The bass is tuned perfectly and everything is mixed together just right. I really bumped this one at full volume. Always gotta take advantage of these bops because that first time hearing something always hit the hardest. I’d also like to point our that the cover art for this release is pretty sick and metal. I like it. I give this track a rating of 7/10 because not every artist on the track went 100 but its still a bop nonetheless and its worth a listen! Shinigami by Phil The Void out now on all platforms!

WAST3D BY THE AGORIST

The Agorist just dropped WAST3D! This is such a good mix of metal and rap. The beat starts off with a kind of hip-hop vibe but then goes straight into a sick deathcore instrumental. The cover art looks like what you see when under the influence which is perfect considering the title of the release is WAST3D. The gui- tar work in this song is phenom- enal! Reminds me of Drop Out Kings. I feel like this was a really

great track, it’s more metal than trap metal—but a really hard song nonetheless. The production on the metal instruments came out so perfectly, and I really liked the drum solo and the way the drums transition into the beat produc- tion nicely before ending. I would rate this song a 9/10 because the cover art just doesn’t do this sound justice! Definitely go give it a listen! WAST3D by The Ago- rist. Out now on all platforms!

HUSTLE HARD DIE ROTTEN

A BRIEF INTERVIEW WITH MIKEY ROTTEN BY:

1. It’s been a while since the last time we interviewed you. How has life been treating you?

Just been on my DIY independent hustle with the homies. Been dropping a lot of music, playing shows, and shooting videos.

2. Jumping right into it, you are about to kick off the “Hustle Hard Die Rotten” tour with Black Smurf. When and where is the tour starting? Where is it ending?

The first show we’re starting in Washington DC and making our way across the country from the

east coast to the Midwest. Then to the South and back towards the west coast where we will be finishing off the tour in Tempe AZ.

3. From what I understand there is a tape being dropped revolving around this tour? Please tell me more about that.

Black Smurf and I have been talking about getting on a tape together for a while now and we finally got together and made some magic. “Hustle Hard Die Rotten” dropped on all platforms about a month ago with some insane album art that Smurf and I thought up and was brought to life by Txniz. The project puts a spooky modern twist to influences from genres like lo-fi, phonk, and other southern rap with a small side of punk/horror-influenced vocals.

“Were starting in Washington DC and making our way across the country from the east coast to the midwest. Then to the South and back towards the west coast where we will be finishing off the tour in Tempe AZ.”

4. What supporting acts can fans expect to see on some of these dates?

We are bringing out the homie from Deathproof “Axelbloodyaxel” to all of the cities on tour to rock with us. We felt like the mood we created with this project/ tour concept his style fit right into the vibe of the tour with his unique dark Memphis-influenced sound.

5. What cities are you most excited about hitting?

Looking forward to DC, Atlanta, Phoenix and of course the LA/ OC shows. All of those city’s know what time it is when we pull up and are ready for the madness.

6. Who did the recording/engineering for the tape? Sounds amazing. Im loving your vocal rage on this.

The tape was produced by the homie Volt and was recorded and mixed by Smurf and I, then we sent it over to Volt to finalize levels and master the tracks.

7. Where can fans cop tickets and more info on dates?

Make sure you grab tickets for your city before they sell out at www.hhdrtour.com

8. Good luck on your tour! I’ll spread the word to my audience. Thank you for your time and is there anything else you want to plug in?

Jack WD – SAIGA 12

SAIGA 12 | MUSIC REVIEW BY LIL PINGU

There was a new single released by Jack WD in 2022 titled Saiga 12 that is worth touching base on again. When you 1st hear it, this track comes in hot! The intro is fast paced and reminds me of anime intro music. The first thing I noticed is how well everything is mixed. This is a simplistic high energy powerviolence / cyberpunk track but the mix is pro level which is a great combo! These are some really good metal-screamo vocals Jack is laying down too. The punchy, aggressively progressive beat in this song takes the whole piece to the

highest level possible. The tempo changes halfway through the song with a bridge into a darker tone and deeper growls. And after a brief pause, the horror movie continues. Where Jack WD brings us back into hook with those now familiar and still equally intense vocals that initially opened the song. What a cool track! I really enjoyed it! This piece is unique, aggressive, and raw. Its perfectly mixed but not overly processes. And the vocals were executed with passion. I would give this a rating of 9/10! Saiga 12 by Jack WD out now on all platforms!

PEDR0 – UNDERCOVER TACTICS

UNDERCOVER TACTICS | REVIEW BY LIL PINGU

PEDR0 released UNDERCOVER TACTICS with Music Visuals on Youtube as well! The music video for this is very DIY but it keeps up in its edditing. The cuts and edits here are very tasteful and well throughout out which makes this more than a DIY music video and more of a respectable articstic creation. The video garnished over 5k streams and Youtube so far! This is not a single though, the song is off his album PLANET DOOM. This track had a really unique intro cleverly leading into high-energy spooky phonk. Not this newer wave of aggressive phonk

but Soundcloud Era Phonk. Wavy sh*t. The bass sounded really great and sits right on the crispy clean beat mix. I really liked the downtempo spread out use of the cowbell melody. The cover art looks trippy and has an abstract style. Im a big fan of black and white work so that was very appealing to me visually. I definitely enjoyed this song, so I give it a rating of 9/10! And I give the music video a rating of 10/10! Check out UNDERCOVER TACTICS by PEDR0 of his album PLANET DOOM. Out now on all platforms with music visuals on youtube!

INTERVIEW BY

AN INTERVIEW WITH LIL TYTAN BY STUPID FLEXAN INTERVIEW W/ LIL TYTAN

SF – What’s up Thank you for your time for the interview. What’s your artist name? and where are you from?

LIL TYTAN – It’s no problem my name is Lil Tytan I’m from Henderson, Nevada

SF – That’s cool! What’s it like out there? How did you come up with your name? Love the aesthetic

LIL TYTAN – Thank you man living out here is cool there’s kinda of a scene forming out here and ONI INC. throws some rad shows here too. I try to have a pretty cool aesthetic I’m in to tech wear and other clothing styles too, Lil Tytan kinda came about because I had a weird name before I started going by Lil Tytan. People weren’t listing it right on articles and other media. So my dad came in my room one day and was like “you should go by Tytan” and I kinda was hesitant but ran with it ever since.

SF – Yo that’s rad dude I heard of him he’s fire super cool he’s doing shows out there for the community respect! Damn that’s creative easy to remember not to mention and amazing awesome how your pops believes in you also! That’s rare to come by especial-

do. Shouts out the one that support their kids dreams!

SF – Were you in any bands before you started doing TrapMetal? What year you started to take your music career more serious?

LIL TYTAN – I started taking music seriously in 2018 I was not in any bands at all. My dad grew me up on different Metal Bands and 80s Bands when I was younger. The people I was making songs with in 2018/2019 like Morgoth Beatz & Brian Spencer who’s now Riff Grimez were from metal backgrounds so they definitely influenced my Trap Metal side and I was listening to stuff like City Morgue, Scarlxrd & Lucifena at the time.

SF – Love it hell Yeah those are the pioneers of this trap metal genre! That’s sick I know those guys they produce heat consistently and City Morgue never misses banger after banger including Scarlxrd and Lucifena! City Morgue is dropping a project later this year Zilla said.

SF – Go crazy and run with that stuff fr man I love it!! Who’s supporting you and a big part of your career to where you are right now?

LIL TYTAN – I’d say my fans, my girlfriend, and my parents. The people that have helped the most career wise have been Morgoth Beatz, Kinfolk Jon, Flexatelli, Sammy Morales, Sinizter, Brian Spencer (Riff Grimez), Noah Sebastian (Bad Omens), King Zabb, Maezi666, Wyllow Amnesty, Lo, ChillPanic, ONI INC., Sable, OLD SOUL, PLAGUE, Keyawna Nikole, and Lucifena to name a few they just really helped me push myself and helped make my sound so much more refined!!

INTERVIEW W/ LIL TYTAN

AN INTERVIEW W/ LIL TYTAN BY STUPID FLEXAN

SF – Big shouts out to fans/family support! That’s a great list of people fr love it. Do you have any plans working with these artists? Great list of creators btw super gnarly

SF- If you can tour with anyone in the world today who do you have in mind to cause hell with on stage for days/months?

LIL TYTAN – Thank you very much yeah that’s definitely something I’m very proud of and appreciative that I’ve had a lot of people support me and I definitely have stuff out and unreleased stuff with all those people. I would say I really wanna tour with Sinizter, Lil Xan, Scythe Gang 666, KAMAARA, and Grim Salvo.

SF – What’s the daily routine studio wise? Any rituals?

LIL TYTAN – I usually throw on a beat a producer sent me sometimes after listening to said beat I’ll listen to some songs from artists I like on YouTube just to maybe catch a vibe or a flow with maybe some incense burning. Then i write to the beat and track it. I’m pretty quick on my turnaround when it comes to songs

SF – Haha that’s right sounds fire! That incense burning stuff smells so good I have hella of em at home.

SF – News on future projects and music videos? can we expect new content from you soon?

LIL TYTAN – Oh absolutely!!! I’ve got a song with Duncan Bentley of Vulvodynia & OLD SOUL called “Apocalypse” that drops February 24th, and then a song with Lindsay Schoolcraft & Lo called “On Sight” produced by ChillPanic that drops March 10th.

I have 4 Music Videos on the way 2 are done by King Zabb. One is for a song I got produced by OmenXIII and another is for a song I have produced by Flexatelli. Zabb’s homie .strife shot a video for me for an upcoming song produced by ROMA JON-

SON. Strife has an album that’s drops on February 22nd called “.i am atrophy” and we shot a video for the song I’m featured on called “In Your Room.” Other than that I will have more songs dropping in March and onward. There’s 2 shows I’m doing that are in Vegas one on March 11th and then I’m on ONI INC.’s “Death Walkers Tour” Vegas Show Date on March 29th that’s gonna have Witchouse 40k, Kill Dyll, Grim Salvo and many others.

SF – Badass dude let’s go I bet those visuals are really trippy haha! Good luck with those shows. Where do you see yourself in the future from now within a few years?

LIL TYTAN – Definitely performing lots more shows, having my own tours, and being a headliner. I see myself working with people I’ve really really wanted to collaborate with and having a successful brand that a lot of people are wearing.

SF – Awesome! Looking foward to it man you will just keep going don’t stop work ethic is important you have it fr!

Since we’re finished here wrapping it up any shouts out and stuff you’d like to say before we’re done with this interview?

LIL TYTAN – Thank you for taking your time to do this. Thank you to Trap Metal Arsenal for always showing love. Thank you to all my homies, my fans, and my parents especially for showing the support and love. I’m super grateful and thankful for you all !

SF – much love brotha appreciate u! have a fire day
