The Illinois Wesleyan women’s basketball team finished with an overall record of 18-8 and was 11-3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Titans were the NCAA Division III national champions in 2012. Senior Melissa Gardner and junior Katy Seibring were named to the first team of the CCIW all-league squads while junior Colleen McMahon was selected to the second team. Gardner also was selected to the third team of the D3hoops.com Women’s All-Central Region Squad. Entering her 16th season at the school, head coach Mia Smith is the all-time victories leader for women’s basketball at IWU, having recently earned her 300th career win.
The Illinois Wesleyan women’s golf team finished tied for ninth in the 2013 NCAA Division III national golf championships. IWU was making its ninth straight and 11th overall NCAA appearance.
