A traditional look in mind, but with decisively contemporary features n Canasta, by Patricia Urquiola, B&B Italia’s most sophisticated technologies are fused with history and culture. The seating elements were inspired by the conical shape and weave that is similar to baskets, hence the name Canasta (the Spanish word for basket). Traditonal Vienna straw, with its decorative geometric shape is also a model for these pieces. The traditional pattern was amplified, increasing it to macro-proportions compared to the original, and was used to make a line of comfortable chairs and sofas. A linear sofa in two versions, with high and low backrest, an armchair with the same alternatives, a large circular armchair and a sunbed make up the Canasta collection. Ideal for the swimming pool area or the garden lawn, these chairs are like pieces of « land art » that harmonise with the surrounding scenery. B&B Italia adds its unmistakable mark to tradition by using a polyethylene fibre in two different colours: white and bronze.

La ligne Canasta, crée par Patricia Urquiola a été inspiré par la forme conique et par les entrelacs semblables à ceux des paniers, d’où son nome (Canasta, c’est à dire panier en espagnol). scénographique. Un canapé linéaire dans la double version à dossier haut et bas, un fauteuil à variantes identiques, un élément aux grandes dimensions et un petit lit/chaise longue composent la collection Canasta. Ces chaises sont parfaites sur le bord d’une piscine ou au bord du jardin, telles des oeuvres de ‘land art’ qui dialoguent avec le décor environnant. B&B Italia flanque la tradition de son incomparable empreinte novatrice et introduit le travail des fibres de polyethylène, un matériau qui garantit à la fois la solidité, la légèreté et l’inaltérabilité, présenté en deux différentes couleurs: le blanc et le bronze.

LIVING DIVANI
Living Divani, a really special design iving Divani, interpreting in its distinctive style the current trend of multi-use and multi-composition of furniture and the contamination between indoor and outdoor spaces, has therefore adapted some of its most successful products to open-air use. Bubble Rock, Frog, Pi-Air, Cafè, Extra Wall and Hi Tech are some of the most significant examples of this. Frog (design Piero Lissoni) features a frame in Aisi 316 stainless steel with mat satin finish. Cord trim with PVC profile in catalogue colours. Bubble Rock (design Piero Lissoni) features a one-piece frame in marine plywood and springs with woven elastic straps of coverei rubber.

Frog (design de Piero Lissoni) présente une structure d'acier inox mat satiné avec un tressage aux profils en pvc,alors que le ressort de Bubble Rock - toujours de Piero Lissoni - consiste en des bandes élastiques tressées en caoutchouc recouvert; les revêtements sont en tissus et les housses amovibles grâce à des zips ou au système velcro.
